I’ve got. 1973 beetle and I’m wondering how do I remove the wires from the tail lights I had a engine fire and I’m rewriting the whole back of the car again any suggestions
The factory way as you know went over the left rear tire. There is a loom of wires then spray installation was used. I myself had a fire as well.in a 67. The only way I way able to run the wires to the back was to drill a hole and reroute the wires that way. I drilled a hole next to.the battery. Same size hole as the wire that comes in from the starter. Then I.used the same size gasket to protect the wires from rubbing on the body. Not a perfect answer. The only one that made sense to.me at the time. Great question. If I can help out in the future, feel free to.ask. I try to.answer every question or comment. Stay safe.
Making good progress!
Grinding it out. Take care my friend
