Holy shit...I knew Ongbal fought this boss many times with different challenges, but this takes the cake. I didn't even know that the boss could pull out of the moves he used in this video like that. Had I not beaten this game already and seen how this fight goes, I would've been so lost. Great mastery of game mechanics and strategy, Ongbal. None of this is easy to pull off, and if any of us are crazy enough to try this, it's gonna be quite the challenge.
@@tobeornottobe5611 I believe it's not really "new" moves in the way your thinking. I'm pretty sure a lot of the bosses were tuned down pre-release and this is there way of releasing the very challenging boss fights without making it harder for newer players

The combat is so much smoother now, as is seeing through attacks. That behind the back twirl that’s the third part of light attack combo no longer throws off the timing for me
@ Agree. And the new Qing Mallet staff makes fight even more great if playing more in close combat. Also the ability to fight any guai so many times you want is so satisfying.
These new movesets that you chained were great, you were able to finish the fight even faster. 0:25 : What I liked is that you continued to stay focused and aggressive right after his block. 1:21 : The combo that bothered Great Sage so much during the fight.. 1:37..1:47 : The music that goes so well with the dodges, how lucky ♡ 2:10 : Ultra Instinct without hesitation 2:37 : Again this magical and so fluid combo 2:56..3:06 : The student who surpasses the Master.. What the hell did he even do at 3:00. I’ve done 4 playthroughs; I’m not a pro or anything but I think I’m pretty good and I can’t even tell what the hell he did. It looks like something right before the Resolute Counterstrike. Hell I don’t even know how he did RCS because it didn’t even look like there was anything to parry. Absolute legend.

its broken on spears you can use see through at any time during the light attack combos, with staffs you can only do it at the end of a swing
