- Who says Urdu or other language songs cannot be played on Chitrali Sitar? Chitrali Sitar is a multi-lingual musical instrument with extraordinary potential; and with this Urdu song on Chitrali Sitar, Basharat Basha proves it once again! Basha believes when Chitrali sitar is adjusted and tuned in accordance with the fundamental music theory then any song can be played on it.
He is of the view that we should not limit Sitar to Khowar Songs! This instrument should represent Chitral and Khowar music in the mainstream music industry.
His vision is to popularize Chitrali Sitar in the national and international music industry and create a regular space for it inline other mainstream musical instruments. This will internationalize Khowar Culture and its musical instruments and will create new opportunities for the young Chitrali Sitarists and sitar craftsmen in Chitral.
