I loved watching this Bob White quail calling while I was at Perry’s Water Gardens in Franklin, North Carolina. The sad part is he heard no reply.
The lady that works at the garden thinks he may have escaped from somewhere because he was so tame.

So THATS what makes that sound. I always wondered what it was and would imitate it to get a response.

The call of this richly variegated bird is like someone trying to stifle a sneeze, but done so much more elegantly than any human could manage......

I've heard these here in South Texas. I like to mimic them and have them call back to me.

What is the other bird call in the background? @0:12 About twice a year a flock of those virds come through and make a ton of noise. Its incredibly loud. They are black birds from what i can tell. Does anyone know?
