The FGC. The only group of fans that have stuck it through the golden age of the 90s, live through the dark age of the 2000s, and the second renaissance of the 2010s. Through it all there is nothing that this small group cannot overcome. The passion for "the fight" is real. Much love to you all.
One great moment that didn't make it on here was Evo 2005. It was a great story for MVC2. Justin had won every Evo handidly up to that point, but he was eliminated by new comer Yipes. Yipes showed the world the power of Magneto and MSP and innovated the team. However everyone underestimated Duc Do with his Spiral team. A team considered long outdated by 2005 standards. Also take into the fact that peoole felt Duc Do was washed up at this point. But he comes in to beat Yipes and take the victory. It was probably one od the greatest Evo moments ever and largely overlooked
Great video, and also a reminder of how to be positive. It's so easy to focus only on the negative aspects of the FGC and the games that are part of it now.
I've been in the FGC on and off since 2004. When you see how big Evo has grown since then, its hard not to get a bit emotional. Remember Evo was held in a conference center at a university. Now look at it. I'm sure Seth and James just get emotional looking at the growth
Basically the feeling of being at the arcade was made global. Love it. I miss those days and hope kids after me have that feeling of fun competition and meeting new/different people.
Great video! Although, it was kinda hard for me to take the music seriously (because of filthy frank) but really reminded me of why I love the fgc. Awesome work.
So hard not to be emotional when you were there ... and saw it all New games *Marvel, new heroes will arise. New Hair-brushed FGC/eSports is coming ... Let's see what the future holds for the FGC ...
It's nice that somebody came up with 8 minutes of why we (whoever that is) love the FGC. Doesn't account for the years of bad PR that the community has created with the rest of the world though.
Arif Rahman lol even at the lowest level of any game this is what we all love to do every single one of us that play fighting games it takes so much determination to want to keep getting better even if you don't go to tournaments there's still that itch to keep going and keep beating people one by one it's about pride where you feel it counts the most when you put your skills against someone and it works out it's even more intense at Evo I bet
All because Smash isn't a fighting game doesn't mean it can't be fucking competitive. Why the hell is Smash even a problem? If you don't like it, then IGNORE it.
It's a game where the characters fight each other. Not sure where the asterisk is in that definition that adds anything else. Also, more games main stage at Evo at once than Street Fighter.
The bald guy? LI Joe was the only US representative to reach top 8 in last year's Street Fighter V, and when he least expected, he was greeted by his father who was supporting him from the crowd. He's more than just a person getting hype over a Urien reveal, though the guy who made this video could have used a much better clip to show that.
A bit late, but the dude's name is Li Joe. His favorite character was Urien from what I remember, and a lot of people were hoping Urien would be in SFV. Nobody really knew, everything was just speculation, but when Joe first saw the trailer of him that was his reaction.
"Fighting Games are something so great" - Tokido, EVO 2017.
I expected to laugh. Got tons of feels instead.
The opposite of this video would be clips of LTG smack talking
Who cares? Stop giving him attention in any possible way.
People take shit so fucking seriously that they aren't entertained by someone raging. It's funny. You're probably garbage at street fighter.
Who's the one taking shit too seriously now?
Haha nice projecting there too ;)
you drone.
Nah. The opposite of this are toxic communities of MOBAs and FPS games
I just wanna say that this is one of the best videos I have ever seen regarding the FGC. Congratulations for the effort put in making it.
I expected salty moments, got salty tears.
The FGC.

Garireo Moment - Probably best i've ever seen in E-Sport.. Hit me right in the feels.

@adrian lopez Blazblue Chrono Phantasma.
Sir Caco D. Mon ohh ok thanks
Marn running against Justin, it was so beautiful to watch 👏

i hope that one day i can be on that stage and experience EVO for the first time
Me too

The gamerbee one gets me everytime so much feels

Seth kills me every single time.

I thought it was gonna be a thuggery video.
Great video! Although, it was kinda hard for me to take the music seriously (because of filthy frank) but really reminded me of why I love the fgc. Awesome work.
If this vid deserves my thumbs up?? Well, it makes me cry. So OF COURSE DESERVES IT!!!! =´]
GENTLEMAN, THATS WHY WE LOVE FIGHTING GAMES...
The FGC is the BEST competitive community ever.
James always cry at Evo, in it we just have too many stories to tell.
Man Seth Killian and James Chen!!!!

So hard not to be emotional when you were there ... and saw it all
New games *Marvel, new heroes will arise.

It takes 5 years for TH-cam to recommend this to me. What has it been doing this whole time?
Wiz went from cool to meme'd in a matter of a couple years.
Then, out of nowhere, they start singing "somebody gettin' fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked!"
That was fucking beautiful !
james chen XD
This is why i love the fgc
Nah, nothing cant compare to pikachu master when he won that time.
There was not enough thuggery in this
But where is THE PROPOSAL
was waiting for someone to say boats and hoes
Why is Chen emotional at the end
I have no idea what is going on

8:01 😢
smash is not FGC
fck you
Cyber Reshrihm I can understand why you could call her a bitch but why a "white" one!? ps smash isn't a fighting game ^^
All because Smash isn't a fighting game doesn't mean it can't be fucking competitive.
Why the hell is Smash even a problem? If you don't like it, then IGNORE it.
In YOUR opinion... You forgot to mention that part, Catie. Anyway, where's my sandwich?
It's a game where the characters fight each other. Not sure where the asterisk is in that definition that adds anything else.

is there footage of Garireo playing (the actual match)? because here we only see their faces.
Johnny Marvéll yh it was an amazing comeback at the blazblue finals
LeThAlMoBSteRSmeDz66 umm yeah. That doesn't really help. Do you have a link?
music at the begginig ?
It's a shame we can't look at KBR in the same light any more.
Too true. I respect his team but learning what type of person he is, especially after the Marvel vote. Soon as I saw him in the video "Fuck that dude"
no salt
no ltg
no Sandford breaking sticks
your standards are low
TH-cam Seriously needs Reaction like fb
never been a fan of the wizard
why was James crying?
Too much soy
jebril OMFG I just spat out coffee all over my phone holy shit this comment is gold
Happiness. He saw EVO and the FGC growing since the beginning. He's happy and proud of what they achieved over the years. He cries every EVO btw. :D
yeah the ball guy screaming kind of ruined the video.
What's the story behind the bald dude with the pink backpack losing his mind and getting hype with the homies?
A bit late, but the dude's name is Li Joe. His favorite character was Urien from what I remember, and a lot of people were hoping Urien would be in SFV. Nobody really knew, everything was just speculation, but when Joe first saw the trailer of him that was his reaction.
Makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to provide some backstory.
GreetTheSacredCow No problem!
to bad i got left behind
2:40 aguante Chile mierdaaaa
The subtitles, both in Japanese and Spanish are awful lol
False, we love the FGC for the savagery
Trash Brothers is a fighting game Kappa
Yea but what do y'all thing of Super Smash Bros
Poor gamerbee friend zoned in front of hundreds of people
ahh the stereotypical cringey "sad" piano music...
the music was a horrible decision
gay.
3:45 bro it's just a game why people will get so emotional over games?
no smash players? lmao
putting LI Joe = down vote
why?
