I don’t know if they write their own raps, but I appreciate them respecting n.o.r.e and neptunes and genuinely having great English raps. It’s definitely a different level from your average kpop female rapper.
Im not sure too but they really have a great team behind the scene. Writers, producers and staff bc so far, they have been top notch in everything.
I think at most they write the Japanese/Korean parts. English rap lyrics are difficult, at least that’s how I feel as a non-native speaker. It feels like a whole different language than English. I know XG has perfect English pronunciation but Maya is the only one who actually speaks the language. I don’t imagine non-fluent speakers would able to write complicated English rap lyrics.
I highly doubt they know who N.O.R.E. Or The Neptunes are.

JURINはそれこそこの曲がリリースされた20年前にギャングスタラッパーのMVでよく見た悪趣味パープルアメ車が似合ってる時点でこのMVを完璧にしてるし、やっぱ声が完成してて強すぎる。

I wouldn’t call them kpop. As far as I know they don’t promote on korean tv and their main language is Korean. Yes they trained in Korea and if I remember correctly live there at least part time but their focus isn’t a Korean audience.

Why do some of y'all keep mentioning K-pop? They're not exactly exclusively K-pop or J-pop, they're just doing their sh in 3 different languages. They're ALL good performers and in their own lane - "new breed" as they themselves say.
They are kpop in fact they've been promoting in korea...speak korean.. having a award show.
they are a global group that knows how to speak english, korean, japanese. their promotion is not only limited in korea they would also promote in US, japan, and so on. a lot of companies are already debuting or preparing their own global groups and moving forward you will see a lot of groups like these in the future.
