Excellent video. Yeah, Betsy is interesting. Was hoping for adult Valda Brightaxe but might give Betsy a try. Not a big gambler haha, but might be something to try. Thanks again for all your content for fab.
I see what you're saying about the Wage X cards being too easy to block. I'm a little curious about the 1 cost buffs + Wager X + Betsy Ability. That's 11 overpower with wager(s), so you're carrying 1-3 value into the next turn. I think that would be a fun new way to play Guardian, but I'm 99% sure it's not consistent enough and a LOT of the 1 cost buffs have 2 block. Buffing Anothos is just so much more consistent (the deck overall), blocks better, and does comparable damage. The only problem with Anothos itself is that you're relying on MoneyWYMI, so just 3 cards in the deck can get you that kind of a turn.
Ya I had a huge bet big with chapeau and double down. They had a huge d react and armor that blocked it all and that was like 10 tokens I lost so it lost me the game
i originally ran it and cut it for e strike. the tokens are somewhat unreliable due to the opponent having agency to block it. most of the time it sat in arsenal until i was forced to play it for no additional value. i also ended up cutting it against every deck except the mirror, brute, and prism. all of those i think e strike gets more mileage
@@TheTekloFoundry have you tried the blue clash attacks? I think they (especially the vigor one) can make primed to fight a lot more consistent in addition to just smoothing out your turns in general.... at the cost of maybe making the guardian/brute/illusionist matchups a bit cursed
not much unfortunately, overpower is a pretty heavily downscaled version of dominate. some decks will always have the answer to it. into kassai you could try more aggro cards like zealous, rouse, and pummel
Great video! I'm the same with Betsy in that I became interested when I saw good time chapeau... Wowee that is a strong card

Have you considered primed to fight? With the gameplan being chaining wagers for vigor and might, seems like a 2 card 11 is a good deal.

Thump is so good in this deck. Won many wagers and games off of it in preliminary testing.
Any advice vs Kassai? The clash cards feel good, but overpower is basically not a real ability.

Brevity.
what is evasive damage? I've never heard that term before
basically damage that "dodges" past normal ways of stopping it. an mtg example would be flying for instance
Clash and wager your way to victory
You don't need tunic for CnC pummel because vigor tokens
