Leclerc's gap to Sainz usually grows in races, Sainz being better on Sundays is a myth. One thing Sainz has over Leclerc is his ability to think on his feet, which he uses to make the rivalry more even.
Leclerc off the pedals??? This guy has a unique style of driving, in which he controls the balance of the car with throttle and brake inputs. He even stays on the throttle slightly while braking
The sad truth for you is that leclerc is better than Sainz at every aspect of the sport apart from reading the race ONLY. Sainz is a top driver but leclerc is simply a prodigy
Worst analysis ever tbh. Leclerc is even quicker in races compared to Sainz proven by statistics. Leclerc is better in every Aspekt apart from maybe race vision
Yeah, its the quickest way to tell if someone doesnt even watch the races when they say sainz is better in races than in qualis. Sainz is a monster qualifier. Not as good as Charles but top 5 on the grid. But in races, he is pretty average. Average difference between him and charles in quali is 1 tenth, but in races it is 2-3 tenths.
The data actually doesn’t support this video’s assertions regarding pace differentials. While Leclerc leads in both quali and race pace by all statistics and H2H results when compared, the gap between them is smaller in quali and larger in the races. While slower than Leclerc, Sainz is actually a very solid qualifier. That is a strength of his driving, while his tire management and race pace most often suffer a bit compared to Leclerc. There’s a reason Sainz hasn’t pulled off any 1-stop masterclass Sunday drives like Leclerc has (Monza 24 as a recent example), where tire management rather than sheer pace was the determining factor for a win.
The analysis is great but the conclusion feels a bit forced, maybe trying to please some Sainz fans? The reality is that Leclerc is faster in both quali and race trim. And his tyre management has proven to be on par if not better than Sainz.
It would be good to make a comparison of Hamilton and Verstappen, I have seen several head to head of them in 2021 with the classifications, especially the comparison of Silverstone 2021, there at turn 7 at Luffield, Hamilton clearly takes a V-shaped layout and Verstappen U-shaped, which would be a contradiction to what you explain in your videos of his styles since you say that Hamilton takes U curves and I reviewed other onboards and in his poles at Silverstone he always takes that V curve and verstappen more in U It is also curious how Verstappen takes advantage of the entire track, for example in Maggots, Becketts and Chapel Vertsappen is faster but Lewis, who does not take advantage of the track as much, cuts him back on the Chapel straight because it comes out better, I would love a video comparing these styles
sainz as many are saying he is a better thinker, he can think a lot better in strategy, but in the counter he is slower in quali and fastest laps in the race, but keep in mind his way of managing tyres is incredibley better than leclerc, for example baku he was 7 seconds of cus he was managing tyres and boom final 3 laps he was msot likely gonna pass him but then that crash happened. Lastly i belive we can all agree on pace because we have seen many tims leclerc crashing out during a race when he was alone
Show me Sainz doing what Leclerc did in Monza and i'll believe he is better than Charles managing tyres. In Baku Sainz was in a way better situation without being attacked and trying to overtake lap and lap again
@@twoc.c1468 singapore 2023? exact same scenario sainz did not pit to maintain the lead and he won th erace in a much harder circumstance than leclerc, he had to withstand the mught of two mercedes for like 12 laps tatically giving drs to norris
@@megacup3977 Singapure is one of the hardests tracks to overtake and Ferrari had a similar car in performance to the Mercedes and McLaren, and almost everyone in this race did only one stop. What give Sainz this win hasn't tyre managment, more than half of the grid did this, was reading the race well enough to understand McLaren wound't be able to overtake him and he could use it in his favour. @megacup3977 sainz didn't outperform leclerc in 2021 he got 2 lucky podium one in hungary because of vettel disqualification and the other one in Abudhabi thanks to Perez engine failure, plus leclerc had 2 dnf's that year, as for 2023 leclerc had 5 dnf's and sainz had 3 dnf's yet leclerc still managed to finish ahead of him Also if you look at head to head stats in each season since they become teammate sainz never outperformed him at all, the advantage was always in leclerc favor, leclerc bad luck is the reason that people believe sainz outperform him in 2021 or that he's actually close in terms of performance but in reality leclerc is much better than sainz under normal circumstances

Finally, someone said it. I've noticed it, especially this year
@@OnurP1 completely true, sainz is very strategic and calm which is a very good tool. But Leclerc has been a faster driver so far
almost like senna and prost like, thing is that they both don't have championships

Probably one of the best videos comparing oversteer to understeer. Racing liners also depend on driving style

@askeladden450 or maybe he's a sainz fan but refuse to see the reality which that leclerc is much better on Sunday than Saturday compared to sainz
not in pace
@megacup3977 I hope what happened today can give a general idea which is that leclerc is much faster than sainz
Should do 1 for JB vs LH when they were teammates... an era where Lewis had a somewhat more lively style than he does in Merc

Amazing content! Reminds me of Peter Windsor's analysis on drivers styles.
Btw, I'm not being ironic but I really want to see your take on Pastor Maldonado, and Lance Stroll driving styles

Can you explain their brake biases?
I haven't been able to analyse that yet! Good suggestion tho. Thks
