The 36ONE MTB Challenge 2024

The 13th edition of The 36ONE MTB Challenge wrapped up in Oudtshoorn, drawing cyclists from far and wide to test their mettle on the gruelling 361-kilometer course.
Kicking off on May 24, 2024, at 3:00 PM, riders embarked on a journey through the Klein Karoo, facing the ultimate endurance challenge of completing the circuit in a single, non-stop effort within 36 hours.
Despite initial weather setbacks, riders pushed through the night, overcoming cold temperatures and a bit of headwind en route to the first checkpoint at Louvain Guest Farm. As dawn broke, the weather cleared, offering ideal conditions for the remainder of the race.
Participants had the option to choose from three categories: The Half, a 189-kilometer race for individuals or teams of two; The Relay, featuring teams of two or four riders; and The Full Challenge, a daunting 361-kilometer test for solo riders or teams of two.
