I do hope they do come across this video, I can imagine how painful it could be, but to see he's not been forgotten by the community he loved after all these years, it's so touching and heart warming

Man as soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew this was about Ash. I was lucky enough to have been friends with Ash on runescape back in the day.. he was so kind and I still love Rise Against to this day because of him. He also taught me how to totally legally get Sony Vegas haha. This one hit home and made me go back and watch some of my old RSMVs. Thanks for the window back into my childhood.
I still remember when Tehnoobshow first came into Ash’s clan chat and started asking him for advice, only to see him go on to later blow up. It’s wild how time just continues to go on and everything that once was everything is now just a blink in your memory.
I got emotional. I've known about him since the gilded era of runescape, one of the most famous players of all time. What a story, he was a true rockstar in game.
excursions being expensive and a social status at school, and the school not stepping in regarding bullying is just 10/10 TBT. There are way more rules/laws that are actually followed nowdays (both public and private schools) especially around zero contact and stuff, but damn this hits home lol.
Man, I started rs somewhere between 2006-2008. I remember seeing the name Fat Wrecked from time to time, but never knew anything past that. Didn't expect to get emotional over this.
thank you for helping us remember such wonderful people with these memorial videos, genuinely shows character about you as a person as well to do these videos with so much respect in their honor
Man this got me tearing up. I remember this, was just a kid myself back then, and was often bullied and lonely and felt huge amount of comfort in his content and others. May Ashley's memory always remain, RIP
It is really comforting to know that he had really sweet parents growing up. The effort they put into keeping his legacy alive is incredibly sweet, and says all you need to know about who they are as people and how much they loved and supported him.
This story hit close for me. I went through pretty much the exact same medical things as he did with some differences. You have to do the most with the time you have as even just a cold could be the thing that gets you. Wish he could have made it through.
I think we all can relate to RS being a way to escape and feel just like everyone else regardless of what is going on in your own life. I know that for me still to this day I still make memories that I will never forget and that makes me happy about life. This vid was very sad but im glad I watched it. Much love to the family from one nerd to the next.
After all these years every time Rest of My Life by Less Than Jake comes on my Spotify I get emotional. I was fortunate enough to be friends with Ash on Runescape, albeit only for a few months before he passed. RIP.
I remember that one time that time wasn't on my side... *Pans to Standing Clock* and it was only a matter of time before I met my timely demise. Good times. *Slowly pans away from Standing Clock*
Imagine watching your son playing and he’s gone but you still see his keystrokes and clicks and skilling. I’m sure they’ve sat there countless nights watching him play again
Wow talk about water works So many kids use to play video games and still do to escape the screaming of parents, the loneliness of not having friends, and to find some sort of joy in their miserable lives. Most parents are fed up and are against their kids playing video games while Ashley’s or fateWrecked parents supports him after death. I do hope the older brother isn’t feeling neglected but damn the length the parents went is so admirable.
As a father myself, I can only hope to be half as awesome for my daughter as FatWreckeds parents. This story honestly brought me to tears, but its always good to have his memory live on
i was friends with him and vodka5 back in the days and i gotta say they were a funny bunch. cc was always hoppin along with tons of other popular youtubers at the time. i believe we used skype and ventrillo to talk. miss ya bud =\
This reminds me of how awful it was as a kid to get attention. I told my RuneScape friends that i was friends with fatwrecked after he died. I'm glad I moved further than that
Back when they released names I was actually in a clan with a guy who had this TH-camrs name, he was ignorant and rude. We yelled at him for taking a famous TH-camrs name and disrespecting his memory by being a dick
Runescape can be so cruel. I've been a player since. 07. And times back then were better. Players talked to each other. You had too. To sell, trade, etc. These days they've taken all human interactions away. You can do the whole game without interactions at all. And for me that killed the game. I now have two osrs accounts. And play everyday. But very rare. Do players talk to me. And I try to talk to them. But they don't talk back or just don't care. It was a better game without youtube. Without social media. Runescape was the social media. You made friends. Had fun. Chatted. It's sad.
I can relate to his parents defending his name because I also have a traditionally female name (Morgan) and my parents would always get super pissed on my behalf whenever I would get bullied for it. I was too autistic to care about what people thought about it so I didn't care though, I love my name 🤷♂️😆
The way people treated his family was absolutely disgusting. Rip Ashley, you lived the life of an online legend. Those in the community that are of good character will remember you fondly and with nothing but respect and gratitude in their hearts for the many memories you gifted to them by just being yourself.
