- Hey everybody! In this video, I am wrapping up my serger series for my HUSQVARNA VIKING Huskylock s25! I've had a great time share more about the machine and I hope you enjoyed watching! Today, I'll be converting the machine over from a serger to a coverstitch! I hope you enjoy!

You are brilliant! I have struggled with this machine and thought I was doing something wrong. I was. I was not watching your videos. The threading video was a revelation and from the bottom of my heart, many many thanks.
This young lady is great. She is very articulant and easy to understand I am so happy to have heard you on this vedio for changing my s25 to a coverstitch machine. I am in a hurry now to give it a try. Again Thank Yoi and God bless,
sincerly. Nana grandma Janice
I can’t tell you how you have changed my life. I purchased this machine in 2013. When I first got involved with HUSQVARNA I only lived 5 miles away. After purchasing machines the Huskqvarna moved to 50 miles away dominant able to do my training. The machine was so intimidating and had sat for 10 years until now. You do such an excellent job explaining and can’t wait to get started. Very exciting and I thank you.
I'm so thankful I found your video! I've watched several and found them extremely frustrating because they either don't zoom in, or if they do, you can't clearly see anything because it's too dark or their hands are in the way. Your video was perfect, you zoomed in and I could see everything clearly, and the explanations were detailed but not too lengthy to lose interest. Yes, I read my manual but it's not the same and I am forever grateful!
Brittany is so easy to follow. I am saving these tutorials for future use.
This is an old video BUT I just purchased one of these machines AND this video was so helpful. Thank you so much! You are the best instructor out there on threading! Happy Sewing! Blessings!
Hello, just love how you make it clear how to hook your thread to go to the back for the loop. Thanks, love how you explains in detail why it's done.
Thank you!!! I thought I was threading my machine wrong and just going ballistic as my ineptitude. You are the first one to go beyond the threading and showing that the issue wasn't with threading up front, but the chaining after!! Pull needle threads forward and pull fabric back, so simple, so easy and yet not described anywhere in the instructions!! You just saved me from throwing my s25 through the window and opened up a whole world of sewing I have been trying by failing. thank you thank you
Honey, bless your heart, that was professional and took the scary out of converting from serger to cover stitch.
I just bought this machine today. Thank you so much. You are wonderful!
Yayyy! I hope you love and enjoy your new machine!!!
Excellent, extremely helpful video, Brittany! I'll be referring to this series often because I bought a Huskylock 25 yesterday! Husqvarna had a great sale on the for the month at Joann's. I also received kits with 5 optional overlock feet, 5 optional coverstitch feet and a coverstitch binder. So excited to begin using it. Thanks so much for this series. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family.
You deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for making this so easy! I’ve had my s25 for 5 or 6 years and never switched it to try a cover stitch! I was too afraid that if I tried I would blow another hole in the Ozone layer or something. I learned to rethread it (for serging) by watching your other video. Now I can do a cover stitch too!!! I’m pretty sure that means I’m a bonafide professional now...at least in my own little warped world :-)
Your videos are amazing. Been afraid to touch my machine for more than two years. You gave me faith I can do this. Your a blessing.
So you know soon as I get back home I will be getting this machine.. Lets start praying now cause I'm still learning my new Brother VM5100. Love you lady keep doing what you do. We appreciate all you do. Be blessed 😘😘
Brittany, thank you so much for this video! I have had my S25 for about 4 years or so , and decided since I'm on 'ronacation I figured I'd do the coverstitch thing. So many have said the conversion is a pain in the butt, but follow the steps and it's a piece of cake. I have some knit tops I've made and now will be re-hemming 'cause now I know how! Great, great video! Thanks again!
Thanks so much for clear instructions. After several years owing this serger, I have never coverstitched -- but I think I can give it a try this weekend!!
You do a great job! I worked on my serger for an hour and then your video did it for me! Thank you!
You are awesome teacher! . Your instructions are very clear. I watched other videos but yours blown my mind. The DVD that came with s25 did not work with Apple and because of Covid 19, classes for the s25 at the fabric store were not offered. Thank you so much and God bless you!!!
So thankful for you and for this vid. I have became an avid sewest, but my current serger isnt cutting it. Found a barely used floor model of this machine that should be here this week. When I first looked at it, the threading looked complicated. Watched both of your vids on threading and I think I am set to go. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for your videos on the S25! I am just now getting back to trying to really learn how to use my serger (after not using it for a while), and your demonstrations help tremendously. I've saved these so I can watch them multiple times as I am re-learning how to use my machine.
Hi Brittany, My first personal sewing machine was a low end Viking I bought way back in 1986. It worked great until last year. I would love to be able to afford a Viking machine again! I would also like to have a machine like your Huskylock s25. It certainly allows for so much versatility. God Bless.
Blessings! Thank you so much for watching!
Omg… this was super helpful Brittany.Thank you so much!.I just bought mine Huskylock s25 and was super nervous if I am going to be able to even use it hahaha I think I am ready to do some serious sewing now.
I had no idea either, I didn't know there was such a thing. Lol Ironically I bought my first serger last week. 😊 Thank you for these videos, you're a sweetheart covering everything for us. As always, prayers for you and your kids, sending many thanks and blessings to your husband.
Thank you so much for your prayers and for watching! Blessings
@@brittanyjjonestv aww always sweetheart. I know it isn't as easy as people think. I honestly do keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Brittany, I did everything you said to use the machine doing cover stitch and skip stitches, I have barely used this machine because I can't figure out!!
Hi Brittany, I have been thinking about purchasing a serger. There are soo many chooses and I want to make the right chose. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge about this unit, it looks like a great serger with so many possibilities. You are such a blessing in so many ways. Thank you
Thanks for the informative video! You said you were only gonna stitch 1/2 so that you could show us how you tie off your threads but you didn't! Now I don't know what to do!
Thank you for this video....your presentation is easy to understand and follow
great job answered many of my concerns to do this and I could see your threading so clearly.
What a great video! It was so easy to follow step by step. I have just completed my first cover stitch.
Kathryn Norwood awesome! So happy to hear that! Thanks for watching!
I’ve always been frustrated trying to use the cover stitch. Your video will help so much!
I just bought this machine and I can't wait to try the CS tomorrow. can I ask where you bought those scissors. i love them!
you will love it...I have this one since they first came out with....Britney is the only one that can teach properly how to use this machine. Good luck...
Brittany, your tutorials are EXCELLENT. Well lit, great closeups, and you blow the others out of the water. I am so frustrated - I'm positive I've threaded my Huskylock S25 properly and in the proper order, but the looper thread keeps bunching up. So far, out of six samples I've sewn, five of them had to be cut away from the machine, and the one that DID sew to the end had terrible tension. The knit is lightweight and my thread is polyester serging thread. Got any suggestions? Thank you again for a terrific series - your explanations are the best!
Hi Britrany, I am always intimidated by changing the stitching on my S25. Thank you for such an excellent video. I had to modify the seat section of a bathing suit. I stitched the elastic in the legs to the flap of the hem. In doing "sew" I had to pull the elastic taunt which has created small gathers. Now I want to hem the legs using a cover stitch as the manufacturer did. I in your video that you were sewing on stretch fabric as is my bathing suit. My question is because slate gathers were created with the elastic, do I need to pull the elastic taunt again in order to get a nice cover Stitch?
Hi Brittany I have a Viking designer 1 which I love and a Huskylock 936 which I do not love. I really wish I had bought a Babylock self threader which is neither here nor there since I cannot afford a new one. It is not even stitching right now probably due to user error. I have to turn it upside down to even put in needles and I am sure the loopers must be threaded wrong. I am 76 yo and dearly want to use it but I have a heart condition and I get so stressed trying and trying and trying to get it to perform. The 4 thread overlock is what I want to use right now. Never used the coverstitch and have had it since early 2000s. No dealer around here. I am a widowed military dependent Af. Appreciate any help you can provide. Your kids are adorable. My two dgs live with me at ages 10 and 12.
Julianne Hill hi Julianne! I’m sorry to hear you’re not happy with your serger and having issues with it. I’ve never used that series before so I don’t know exactly what the issue is but I did find a video here that may be helpful to you! th-cam.com/video/WsLzyfPfsWc/w-d-xo.html
I hope you’ll be able to get it threaded! Thank you for your comment! Blessings
I can’t wait to be able to afford a cover stitch...they are super!
Another great video Brittany! Thanks.
Great video..I sometimes have problems with the looper thread getting “stuck” underneath..I am leaving ~3 in hang inside after threading, but on some materials I just can’t get the stitch started..even on a small leader fabric…any advice is much appreciated Thanks-Karen
Hello, Mrs.J how are you and your family...where did you purchase your Husqvarna machines.
Tämä oli hyvä ja selkeä video. Kiitos
Tack så mycket😊❤
I love it
Excellent video. THANKS!
What type of thread do you use on knit fabric?
I was reviewing this tutorial on threading the coverstitch wide and noticed that you did not bring the purple thread under the spring in the last loop, as I was originally shown...which is correct? under or doesnt it matter?
I know I can do this in reverse to go back to serging but do you have a video for that? I couldn't find one.
Will you be making more videos on this machine?
I’m angry. I only just discovered you today. I searched and searched for videos on this machine and never found you. I eventually got discouraged and bought a Juki on Monday (even though my main machine is a Viking and I love it). Your videos are being buried. There’s no other excuse for why I didn’t find you sooner. 😢
Can you compare some other type of sewing machine that sewing like the Husky S25 Straight Stitch, I’m looking for something that has all that and is quite but not as expensive. TFS!!!😃👍🏽
I would like to see how to thread for no. 16, two thread serger
I keep getting a message that the presser foot is up. I have tried it numerously but it wont sew.
Grasias por poner las instrucciones en español
Can you do a video narrow coverstitch
Where’d you get those cool scissors? Lol
after watching this I don"t want this. I think I will stick to a separate serger and separate sewing machine.
