As a Samira main I've always been a massive duskblade hater, even when it was "broken" I believe Infinity Edge and Galeforce are both better.
I'll give a couple big counterpoints to current duskblade:
1. You mention that lethality is always good for champions that deal physical damage with abilities. This is true, however, crit chance is more important on Samira because her ult can crit, you need to be building crit and AD simultaniously to be optimizing your damage. The passive that duskblade gives, increasing your ability damage against low health targets, does not make up for the lack of crit chance it gives compared to collector or galeforce, and even infinity edge as a first item will deal more damage. You also mention that part of the reason that lethality is good is that it increases your abilities base damage, and this is true, but Samira in particular has some of the worst base damages in the game.
2.Ability haste is nearly a completely wasted stat on Samira. Samira's Q CD is already incredibly short, your E doesn't need to be on a short CD because of her reset mechanic, and her ult can't even be reduced by ability haste, not that it would be useful because it's only an 8 second CD. The only semblance of use Ability haste as a stat has on Samira is for her W, which if you are playing right doesn't need to be on a low CD. Collector has a simply better version of all of this as a rush item, if you were to rush duskblade, there would be no reason not to simply rush collector instead, since crit, AD, and lethality are all so good on her and she is among the best collector passive users in the game.
the only good point I can really agree with when defending duskblade is that as a mythic it is cheaper than both IE and Galeforce, but this is mitigated by the fact that Gale and IE have crit in their build paths.
In my opinion, dirk first buy when you can't afford B.F. Sword > Galeforce (with ingenious hunter) is probably the best Samira build for most situations. The positional advantage and damage that you gain from having galeforce gives you so much aggressive momentum and be used defensively as well. It simultaneously is more aggressive and defensive than Duskblade. It also makes you more independent and less dependent on engages from your team or support, which is great for solo queue.
Infinity Edge is also great, not as a rush because of its build path but as a second item after either Collector or Shiv (Shiv can be built into tanky teams). It offers the highest press R for damage nuke in samira builds rn with Collector, and because of that is easier to play than Galeforce.
Duskblade seriously has no real advantages compared to the other two Samira rush options right now. The 300 Gold price decrease from Galeforce/IE means nothing when your damage and snowball potential are simply increased by the two, and you can go Collector (cheaper item that does more damage than mythic and has better build path) first instead.
I want to hear people's thoughts about this because I genuinely see zero benefits to ever building duskblade, especially not now.
Lots of good points, and I wouldn't be surprised if high elo Samiras switch back to IE after the buffs.
Why lethality only increases base ability dmg ? It is good on both high scale and low scale abilites. Example nunu R has %300 ap ratio and magic pen build gives most R damage. It can deal 3.5-4k damage with magic pen build (basicially true dmg)
@@st-ok8qs Lethality is good on AD scaling abilities, it's just that as a champion with high base numbers your lethality is getting more value since there is more damage to be applying the lethality to. Samira of course does use lethality very well since she wants to build a large amount of AD and deal lots of damage, but lethality and pen stats are the only way to effectively make your base number do more damage, so the point for samira specifically that he makes that lethality makes your abilities base damage have more value is mute since you have almost no base value.
Both scaling and base damage are good, it's simply that base damage on the ability gives higher immediate value in the early game.

I like the slow down, would have liked to see an example of the auto w-e-q auto r combo that you were describing as well, just as an idea. I know it would add another hour of editing work to do that for multiple combos but might add some value.

I really enjoy these midbeast type videos since there isnt much content for adcs like this and to me I enjoy the format and how its laidback but informative. Hope you make more or maybe videos where you focus on general macro/micro from pros rather than champ specifications.
I really like this new format, Wanted to learn samira for some time now and this really helps. Todays gameplays is a bit more chaotic, but that happens, not much you can do there. Really liked new slowmode eddition in the video tho, i had no idea that samira can get two stacks of her pasive with her W, it will make playing her much easyer.. xD

These videos are getting better but there is still room for improvement. You need to show the item purchases more clearly and you can discuss why someone picked one item over another. Many of the other league streamers I follow do this and I think it would improve your videos.

I think for me and probably most, we like the rune page and items upfront because when I play, I whip up your video and essentially copy paste your pages and items cause I typically won't remember the content of the video especially rune pages
Samira *REALLY* needs her ally dash back. Nearly every other champ in the game with a dash can either free-cast it or use it on any enemy or ally of their choosing. With the survivability nerfs via BT and ISB, she is the definition of a glass cannon and has the most punishable playstyle of any ADC since she has zero escape. Item-wise, I expect to see IE gain a lot of traction with its insane crit-amp buff in 13.14, and GF will be out the window because a 120sec cd is way too long imo.
Riot: we are going to take her ally dash away because that is so strong

Bro i swear you are in my mind, like every video you make is about rank 1 player of an adc im using. First zeri, then samira. I also have been rushing duskblade second (i find collector first really good independent of the mythic) after the adjustment, reason being the build path and stats are really good for snowball more than ie (ive used gale force too but its more situacional than the other 2). On this new patch i still think maybe itll stay the same with duskblade for snowball and ie for scaling

Starting Q having a early knock up or any kind of cc you can easy just aa Q aa for a lot of dmg instead of only aa aa or having to go on
aa Q aa is MUCH weaker than aa E aa

I legitimately believe that lethality is horrible on almost all adcs, including Samira. Samira has damage on her Q and Ult that scale with crit, no scaling with ability haste at all and gets far less value out of Duskblade’s active than people think. The lethality from this item, assuming a high enough level to equate to a 1-1 ratio on lethality to flat pen only grants a paltry 6-7% more damage, as opposed to the over 20% bonus damage you’d be getting from the crit component on IE. This only gets worse as you stack up crit, and unless you can afford to go full lethality and have high base numbers on abilities, lethality sucks right now. It’s nowhere near as strong as magic pen, and assassins only buy it because their abilities do so much base damage.
But what is the difference between a good and a bad samira player when you say all the samira just follows the plays of the supports or the team. Also duskblade is a bad item on samira, it's a big damage difference since samira scales with crit !
nerfing Shiv isn't going to solve that problem of Kai'sa having a Q to smack down minion waves with on top of the Shiv's damage. The item got nerfed so many times already, chill out.
