I think I saw this when someone built the world's fastest Ford Flathead V8. This was how they got around some of the limitations of the flathead cam design.
Press fit? How are the housing located, indexed, and sealed at the block bore / bearing housing interface? The oil supply tubes? Does this result in a floating bearing housing?
Can't cost much more than the price of a fuel dragster engine. Something not mentioned, how are they installed? what keeps them in the bore without clearance between the cam bore and the od of the bearing. What force does it take to install 5 at once or are the installed with very strong but little bitty tiny hands, piece by piece? I bet everyone is doing this instead of a turbo.
Dam I'm 60 and learning ssssoooo much more than the previous 59yrs, this is genius! THX
I love learning new things like this
You should do it a lot more - your videos are really good and this type of content on yt and on that level is very rare to find !
Thanks! I will make some more soon!
The explanation and the examples are clear and understandable. Keep doing good, and I am a student from Mr. Price class from basic, Ethan sandoval
Awesome! Glad you liked them!

I just learned what clamshell camshaft bearings are 👍
How is the clamshell bearing housing secured to the block?
All I can think is those stand-off pipes
@@XGamesJ6same. Can’t imagine the structural integrity would be that good but it must work 🤷🏻♂️

Make a video of how all parts of a engine works
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll work on it!
