This is a great pick for Richmond as I see Trainor more like Grimes who can play on Talls and Smalls as Grimes had no problem playing on the tallest forwards and in time Trainor will develop that as well but the best part of this is if Gibcus can get over his injuries its then it Rance 0.2 ? But also the Forwards we have Drafted now let’s Balta who is also like Rance back in the backline we also have a underrated player in Young who was injured last season that is looking alright also with Miller. This was smart recruiting by Richmond and one that has not been seen yet at AFL level who also was injured last season is Campbell Gray who is a lot like Balta can play back or forward so look out for that name in the next number of Years. But I’m so pleased with the Tall Forward options now everyone knows Lynch but now with Armstrong , Faull , Sims , Fawcett , Ryan - ruck/forward and The exciting Lefau who will be out from injury for half the season but is a real find! There are a lot of options now for the Tigers 🐅 we also have rookie Rucks that most don’t know about outside Richmond in Colina 211cm and Haynes - Brown 208cm came over from Basketball 🏀 yes some are on the right track to make it ? And others only time and opportunity will tell if they have what it takes ? But I think with smart recruiting we have set up a spine for the future? And we want all to make it but even if we only have half this list be good AFL players? Then we are in a good spot! Given the Talls we now have the young ones in this list we maybe to tall in the VFL next season? We will have to managed it with the players? It will be hard for selection in the future? The only way we are now recruiting a key forward in drafts to come is if there is someone who is just to good to let go ? Tigers in a very good spot and with 2 most likely very early picks in next years draft ? We will go again? The thing that may hurt us is if we shock some next year with where we finished as we still have a lot of good premierships players and old and young can be a deadly combination! Injuries is why we finished last in 2024 very much what the Eagles went through in 2023. So we should be picked to finish last but we also may not ? But that may hurt us if we shot back up to early? As one more year in the bottom four may be best for us to start making are move in 2026! 🏆17 🏆19 🏆20 🐅🐅🐅
Fantastic assessment, I feel he may blossom in the back or forward lines, given his size n kicking ability but the concussion issue is probably his biggest concern 💙💛🦅🏆
This is where the Tauru stuff jumps the shark for me. If you had picks 2 and 15 would you take Tauru with pick 2, when you could take Trainor at pick 15? I mean, if people sit back and look at the respective junior careers through sober eyes then who would take Tauru OVER Trainor? It's the clear number one bizarre meme of the 2024 draft!

Should be rated ahead of Tauru by every possible metric. Shaping as the absolute steal of this draft.
Reminds me of Alex Rance
