  • www.gulfpub.com - One of the most comprehensive videotape training programs on electrical safety is ready to be put to use in your organization.
    In part 1 we look at the effects electricity has on the body based on current, voltage, time, path, and resistance - illustrate how electricity behaves and how shock can result - discuss the hazards of energized work, give safety recommendations, and illustrate the dangers of shock, arc, and blast - demonstrate how to isolate or "clear" parts of an electrical system, look at lockout /tagout procedures, and show how to select and install temporary grounds

    I had been shocked by static electricity shocks before, so I know that electricity is not a joke. It is very serious business and must be highly respected.
    Especially in industrial facilities where high-voltage or medium-voltage electricity is common, failure to follow rules, guidelines, and procedures in these areas can lead to dangerous shocks or, even worse, an arc flash.

    If you are afraid of electricity then you shouldn't mess with it. If you respect electricity and treat it that way then you have a good start.

    why is the guy holding the meter not wearing gloves?

    • @SantaFebuff
      @SantaFebuff 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Insulation on the wires to the probes should be good for 600VAC. The gloves are for the person close enough to bare conductors or terminals to get shocked. He's not risking getting shocked unless the meter has a problem. But you're supposed to check and verify the meter before you use it anyway.
