Since 1985 when I first read Alexandra David Neale's Magic and Mystery in Tibet until today I have been greatly moved by everything Tibetan. I read Neale's book after I had left the Moonies after 14 years and lived for one year in a horrible rented room while I took a government training course, and I mostly read it lying in bed to keep warm as there was no proper heating. Although my own inner journey eventually took me on a different path, through a mystery school in Montana, yoga, native american shamanism and much more I still feel deeply for Tibet and it's plight. These days, at the age of 70 I am finally beginning to see and understand so much more, and feel a growing compassion for all sentient beings in my heart.
When communism and all materialistic belief systems are on the rubbish heap of history Tibet, with all it's magic and mystery and it's beautiful people will still be there.

This documentary beautifully showcases the positive and profound insights on Tibet and their unwavering faith in Buddhism to liberate themselves and all sentient beings. The video illustrates how, despite many years of oppression and occupation, the people’s faith has remained unchanged and their belief resilient. I feel that Tibet was once such a devoted community where the entire country collectively aimed for enlightenment. These videos are evidence of the strength of their faith and dedication. Sometimes, I wonder how different the world would be if every country were like ancient Tibet, solely devoted to Buddhism and enlightenment. There wouldn’t be wars, power struggles, political turmoil, high-rise buildings, or luxury comforts, but I believe people would be more content, joyful, and peaceful.

Petals Dorje. When we place a thought onto the information Superhighway. It never ceases to be that thought. Just as Buddha said "when a drop of water falls into the ocean it never ceases to be a drop it lasts forever"....just as a thought/intention enters the Quantum Universal Energy Field....it never ceases to be....You are absolutely correct. People can kill or steal your body but your Soul belongs to God Almighty and no-one else....may you swiftly attain to perfect Enlightenment in this lifetime along with all other sentient beings. Leaving no souls behind....

I love Buddhism as a religion and a tranquil, guided way of life.
Love their prayers and the sounds of Tibetan bowls
Most of all, I love their respect for all forms of life as they consider every living being a sentient
They do not slaughter and view all the other species as food.
It's such a mystical religion based on true spirituality, honesty, compassion

This is certainly one of the best documentry I have come across in youtube so far. My deep reverence to His Holiness the Lama Zopa/Soepa Rinpoche, my faith and respect to you Rinpoche has grown manyfold after going through this video. Thank you to the Director and all those involve in making this documentry & making it available to the larger audience. Besides receiving profound teachings from the Rinpoche we were also able to receive blessings of many historical and religious holy sites, objects and self or natural arisen statues and figures. I feel so fortunate for able to receive such blessing through your videos which otherwise is so difficult or may be impossible for us to know of their existance. I am going to share this to others as much as I can . Thank you.

I was not privileged to go with some one like Rinpoche, and in fact knew/ know very little about Buddhism. The monastery I had visited out of body was the last monastery at 14,000 feet - The Crystal Shining Mountain Monastery.

It is note worthy: the older stupa's of Tibet where all built with round cylindrical bases. The new / modern stupa, [ we here in the west mainly know off ], are of late 17th - early 18th century architectural manifestation. The Harmika, and some form of Spire have been an important architectural detail through out the ages, in all buddhist lands. I am glad, and felt moved to have seen ,via this movie, Lama Yeshe's birth place, we shared one of our root Lama's, the Ven. Geshe Rabten. Long Live the Dharma, and the Noble Teachers.!!

As enlightened as the caste system inherited from the Indians from which, before the liberation by the Chinese Communist Party, Tibet was nothing more than a slave theocracy where women did not even have civil rights...
95% of the illiterate population, 48% of infant mortality,
the Dalai Lama was the spiritual leader of one of the most terrible parts of the world with its population, in the end anyone who goes to Tibet and speaks to its local population will discover how much the Dalai Lama is hated by people who attach his figure not to a spiritual sage , but to a slaver...
Don't believe me, look to history to verify what I say.
Religion without its social counterpart where everyone and not just a part is freed is not religion, it is holy tyranny...
