    It ain't a surprise that the new River 2 is more capable than the old one. Ecoflow really did know what to improve on, like the 60 minute charge time.

      I have a older river power station and (2) of the river 2:and the power max unit ..I got them all for a $ GREAT $ deal . Because people didn't not understand what each units limitations and potential were so they would be disappointed and just wanted to get rid of them .I paid probably for all (5 units ) half of wat the power max cost brand new ..all in there boxes with all cords and manuals...

    Good detailed overview. It was hard to find a good small LFP unit and one that fits my somewhat undefined needs. I live in Florida so power loss from hurricanes is possible. But I got this partly to power my dash cam in “parking mode”.
    Employing the meter showing pure sine wave is very scientific (and impressive of Ecoflow).

    The 5 year warranty is more than enough reason for it to be the best portable power station.

      It could last waaay longer than 10 years. Unless you’re using it every day. I still have some li-ion batteries from 2008 still kicking. You can tell their capacity has dropped, but they’re still going strong enough for my needs 15 years later.

      Yes but you know to extend the battery life . If it runs down to 20% or so on the app set it to slow charge if you're in no hurry to use it . A slow charge is good for it because you don't heat the battery up by fast charging heat is not good for a battery . I slow charge my units and rotate using them so they all get as much equal use I don't just charge and use one and leave the rest sitting in there box you could ?? But I have been told to have them at 50 % if you know you are not good to use it for awhile.?? Don't know why ?? Anybody ???

    Hey there I just got one and it’s pretty good I use light power tools that work fine with the unit .. I know this will work with a 110 watt solar panel I have a chance to get a 120 watt solar panel is that to much for it or would work to charge it ?? I know u never get the full voltage out of a solar panel so what do u recommend ???

    Does the A/C operate at 60 Hz or 50Hz? on the screen? By default?
    Also does it operate a device less than 10 watts without shutting off?

    Will this work with my 5 amp bike charger? I'll be charging this with my car's power. So, basically need this to work as an inverter capable of that 5a output.

    • @AlexOvechkinSucks
      @AlexOvechkinSucks 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Impossible for someone to know that because everyone’s consumption habits vary greatly.
      What you should do is get a meter, and plug a power bar into it with your three appliances attached.
      Then run your system over a period of 4 hours giving it a decent stress test. Then record what your meter is telling how many watts you consumed.
      If you consumed 800W in 4 hours, that’s 200W per hour or 200Wh which is roughly in line with this unit. It would give you approximately 1 hour of run time.
      Further complicating that is your peak wattage could shut down your battery unit by pulling too much wattage. Your monitors are fairly constant, but your power supply could have heavy draw, especially if it’s 300W or 400W.

      Divide your watts used by the watt hours available

    • @DeltaMikeTorrevieja
      @DeltaMikeTorrevieja 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Watt hours store / watts being drawn = hours of use
      But you need to allow for inefficiencies. So ball park 0.75 of the above calculation.

    What's the point of reviewing an appliance that the inverter can handle, without specifying how long you can run the (tested) appliance for? Or did I miss something?

    • @greatcesarsghost
      @greatcesarsghost 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On the power station ( ecoflow ) it tells you how long you can run that particular device on the screen till you run the battery down .. set the station to shut down at 10% don’t drain the battery 🔋 all the way and don’t charge it to 100% do it to 90 or 95 and don’t fast charge lower wattage input to charge the battery .. it heats up with rapid charge so if your not in a hurry charge it at 250 watts takes little longer but extends battery life

    • @DeltaMikeTorrevieja
      @DeltaMikeTorrevieja 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Watt hours stored / watts drawn = hours it will run.
      Allow for losses and inefficiencies by multiplying above result by 0.75

    After 10 years of use how long until the battery completely dies?

    • @chargerharbor
      @chargerharbor ปีที่แล้ว

      Bruh. There are many factors to determine that. This River 2 uses LiFePO4 batteries rated for about 3,000 charge cycles, so you're gonna have to do your own estimate based on usage.

    • @WatsitTooyah

      I have a river 2 pro. I used a 1000 watt appliance on it. Even with X-boost on, It was only able to draw around 800+ watts.

    • @WatsitTooyah
      @WatsitTooyah 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-ul5wq3kv4p Yea especially when you throw DC to AC. I think I'd expect about 75-80% of rated capacity to power AC. DC outputs are closer to 90%. After 3000 cycles, expect 80% of what you got when it was new.
