I feel that 2077 is more reflective and resonant, provoking thought about humanity and life, with a cinematic feel. Even the nuanced subplots have rich dialogues and characters are vividly expressed, enhancing immersion. The three memorable protagonists in GTA might also have deep expressions, but the game's older graphics limit the portrayal of subtle facial expressions or conveying their inner thoughts. In comparison, characters in 2077 seem alive. I've played GTA for nearly 5000 hours, from PS3 to PS5, and recently started my journey with 2077, which has been astonishing. I love Night City for its immersive experience. Initially, I wasn't comfortable with the first-person perspective, but now I understand the developers' choice for it. It truly enhances the narrative experience and immersion.

Cyberpunk 2077 fans believe games only need to look pretty and have characters with personality. When the main thing that matters is gameplay. And the game has a lot of issues with it.

GTA rely on it's vehicle and physics more than anything else, fkg GTA doesn't even have dismemberment, let alone a fun and engaging gunplay.
Maybe Cyberpunk doesn't have all the sandbox aspects that GTA has but it does compensate for having great gameplay and overall storyline that is meaningful.
To be fair, i never liked any GTA games aside the sandbox aspects, a barely remember the name of the character from the games.
On the other hand Cyberpunk characters are so well written and put togheter that i feel some are like IRL friends.
But also, both games premises are different, GTA is about urban life in a modern city, while Cyberpunk is cyberpunk, two different genres.
Is easier to compare Starfield with Cyberpunk than GTA.

Well, not bad. They actually fixed the game in 2.0 patch.
Even with all the glitches here and there (which was there at the time of release), gameplay is miles better than the overrated GTA V (which is the worse in the franchise). The hate towards cyberpunk and the over-hyping of GTA V is real.
GTA is literally same sh*t since Gta San Andreas. I don't play a game just to wander around in the city. We already have that OUTSIDE/ Real life.
What we don't have is futuristic cities like cyberpunk. the reason why Gta V is hyped because they can live the life they can't do in real life. For example become a millionaire with many cars or become a criminal without consequence.
They are just using the same content and just improving the tech with billion dollar budget and thousands of employee. I'm for sure they will fail if they try a new IP that is based on the future like cyberpunk. might take 20 years to make despite having the budget and thousands employees.
BUT realistically CDPR should just focus on Witcher franchise like Rockstar is doing with Gta. It will be more amazing to get the most immersive medieval fantasy in Witcher 5 or 6.

If rockstar is releasing the same stuff is just to make a sop for children who still play online, the main interest on gta v was gone by most of the community when rdr2 was released.
Also after 3 years of patches, cyberpunk probably reached its max potential and still lacks of basic physics features compared to those games, meaning that cdproject's main problem is the engine as a whole, because lights textures etc, is great. Thats why rockstar always got prizes for their games.

I wouldnt say some of these are fair comparisons because Gta is a third person game, while cyberpunk is a first person game, so presentation wont always be the same. Gta also takes place in the modern day, while cyberpunk takes place in a post apocalyptic future, so mechanics like the weather or the ways cars are made wont always be the same.

Very different games, you can't play Cyberpunk as a futuristic GTA. In game mechanics still GTA V edges Cyberpunk and I think this is the final state of Cyberpunk otpimization in game mechanics. But I play both games for a different reason. Since in Patch 2.0 CDPR rebalanced the RPG system, it was worth to put 150 hours in it, very great story, great skill tree and overall a good RPG, especially with the Phantom Liberty expansion where your choices really matter. So if I want a futuristic RPG, I play Cyberpunk and if I want a "realistic" action sandbox game, I will go with GTA V. To be honest I would really welcome a GTA in the future but I would satisfied if we would finally get a GTA 6 because we are waiting for that for 10 frickin years.

Cyberpunk combat reminds me that Rockstar could've made the combat fun in GTA by simply just re-using Max Payne 3's combat system, instead they opted for the lame cover shooter style combat, atleast RDR2 despite still using GTA V's combat, they implemented combat dodge and dive there.
I wouldn’t say very different games. They are both essentially open world cime games that play out similarly in a lot of way (both are essentially just a series of heist missions at their core). But yes vibe is very different. GTA still wins out on minute details in the area of world interactions, and was ahead of it’s time by a longshot. Still can’t believe it was a 360 game. That being said, if we were comparing the OG version of GTA 5 2 generations ago against Cyberpunk there is no contest that Cyberpunk looks considerably better. But with the ‘next gen upgrades’ GTA 5 holds up shockingly well in a lot of key areas. 6 will dethrone everything of course. But it is kind of crazy that no one has really attempted anything like GTA over the years. Maybe Saint’s Row or Watchdogs, maybe Mafia, would be closest, until Cyberpunk which gets the absolute closest. Rockstar is still untouchable, but they also have billions to throw at these games and 25 years of experience making them. I’m sure if we ever get a Cyberpunk 8 it would go toe to toe easy even going up against a current GTA release. CDPR has a lot to work with in that IP and there is so much potential there. And with the Cyberpunk aesthetic it can actually stand apart from GTA while being one of the only direct competitors.
GTA in the future can't do that. They will just use the same formula and keep updating the graphics until it become almost real life. It is too risky for them to try and invent things like a Cyberpunk GTA.
Making a game based on real life is much much more easier with thousands employee and billion dollar buget.
What I meant is GTA ALREADY HAVE PRESENT EXAMPLES OF EVERYTHING. They don't have to invent futuristic concepts.
They already have the foundations of GTA 1 - 5 and just reusing their knowledge and improving things from it. Same reason we keep seeing Assasins Creed. same sh*t just improved tech.
CD Project Red should have focus on Witcher franchise. they already have the foundations,tech and content to do. The only thing left is just make a better game and just improve every little thing just like GTA franchise do. .

If they wanted to do a Cyberpunk-like game, they easily could. But everyone is obsessed with Gta, so they aren’t gonna stray away from that anytime soon, and hopefully they never really do, but maybe they could try out new things again.
Nothing in Cyberpunk is out of this world in terms of fantasy concepts. Rockstar would in fact have no problem applying a theme like that to their roster.

You're comparing a game that's only been out for about 3 years, not even to a game that's been out for 10 years. I think grand theft auto has aged a bit but when you consider it was a 2013 game it’s actually surreal how ahead of its time it was.

GTA 5 feels like it took place after Thanos snapped. There is hardly any crowd density in GTA 5. Los Santos feel more like a theme park than an actual city.

Since you won't drop the storage "problem" i'm going to explain this for you...
Heres the deal, the problem with the storage space has nohting to do with optmization, the problem here is the AMOUNT OF CONTENT with the game, among this content YES theres the graphics, vast portion of the size of this game is because resolution sizes, that is the deal with the game is this is general GAMING flaw, since you can't have just one resolution for a game. the studios need to pack ALL of the know sizes to fit in the game, this for a game with cyberpunk graphics will be demanding in terms of storage so your machine wouldn't burn once you open the game.
It is a flaw, yes , but it is a general game flaw, even GTA has this problem despite not been so visible due to the fact that GTA graphics are as great as C77.

@@thecoolestdaniel4554 GTA doesn’t have that level of open world, that’s a RDR, or Elden ring type of thing. GTA 5 will always just be GTA 5. If you played through the story once or twice you probably already know everything their is too know about it. It’s only 30GB more because of poor storage management. Theirs absolutely zero reason it should be almost as big as RDR2, which is the pinnacle of open world games and the much more storage demanding game.

both gta iv and gta v gameplay is trash, the "little details matters" that a lot of folks talk don't really matters when gameplay is trash. infact gta v characters are boring too, missions are way to short in comparison to cp 2077 and clothing are limited. even a fps game has more clothing than a third person game that hails to be realistic.
