This is a nice idea. Men often think that ballet is "for girls" and don't realise how tough it is, how much strength and dedication it takes to do the simplest movement. They get distracted by the aesthetic part, which is of course essential in ballet.
Ten years ago #UNH professor Larry Robertson wanted more men interested in his ballet classes, so he started "Bring A Boy To Ballet Day." When he retired last year, he asked that the department carry on the tradition...
This has been more than a few years ago but here's a good blast from the past. My ex-boyfriend did ballet classes all the time. To my knowledge, I think he briefly danced for one company! It was about a year after we stopped seeing one another when a friend of mine told me "that she had seen him dancing at a Night Club." I was sort of nonchalant about it until she nervously laughed and told me "that he was stripping down a G-string and performing what were called 'Live Striptease Love Shows' with girls. I nearly died at hearing this! Turns out, he wasn't just going down to strictly a G-string either. For a price and a private showroom he and a girl would actually go full nude. Bet none of you have ever been to a strip joint that had such acts?
That was absolutely shocking. You would be hard press to find people that pale in California. Next trend should be, "Bring a boy to a tanning booth or California."
Bring a guy to watch slim, flexible, tight-wearing clothes girls stretching? Yeah, not bad idea, I'm sure they will leave the studio with so much insights about ballet (because it takes one class to understand it, not years and years of training, right?), not with the head full of dirty thoughts. The cutest thing in that whole concept are the comments - it is astonishing how naive girls can be. "So cute!"... really...?
Being attracted to slim, fit female body is being a "perverted pig"? Lol, I hope you're better dancer than the thinker, you won't make much money on winning the Nobel prizes.
LOL, your naivety would be charming, but you use too many words that make you simply come across cheap. Didn't expect more though. Good luck to you: th-cam.com/video/SH4UwaiPTXs/w-d-xo.html
I know someone who becomes a professional dancer after taking his first class in college at a bring a boy day like thing
They should have a male ballerina actually dance for them to show them what they could look like.
No such thing as a male ballerina. Ballerina is a title given to women.
kini Lmao, I’m sorry they should have brought a male ballet dancer in there, FUCK male ballerinas.
Lionhearted626 A "male ballerina"!? Isn't that an oxymoron?
Mark BestBuddy I don’t know, I don’t do ballet.
There is a guy dancing ballet shown almost to the beginning of the video

Haha, why would the fact that it's tough make it any more appealing to them
Damn. Wish my school's ballet has a bring a boy day
Sowandarya Mahendran i wish my school had ballet
I feel bad if theres that one person thats single
Salomé Grand'Pierre I don't even mind being that person in ballet :)

Loving it! Ballet can help football athletes big time. Who says ballet is just a girly thang? : )
Carissa O'Day Ballet can help anybody big time, not just football athletes :)
Carissa O'Day omg soooo many people say that! And it's so false!
Michaela DeSimone how can it be false. ANY sort of physical excersize and coordination work can benifit athletes.
Carissa O'Day no no no sorry I meant that people saying ballet is a girly thing is false😂😂
Michaela DeSimone oh, yes! I agree
I don't have many friends that are girls in ballet but if a girl asked me to this for her, I would do it to show that I'm a true friend.
What an opportunity and honor! Nothing like this ever happened at my college.
I wish they had the boys try on a pair of pointe shoes😂
I wish they had that at my studio!
Excellent idea!
Aw I love this! It's so cute!
This made me smile!
C’est très important ce genre d’échange! 🎉
Great project!
This is such a good idea!
Omg that would be so fun with my brother 😂
My does it sound like Somewhere Only We Know in the beginning?
that was so fun!!!
I feel like there should be something like this for figure skating.
i want to do this so bad, it would be amazing to do with my brother😂
this is cute

So cute I love it
Initially I thought the old man was Jerry Springer
After they should have them watch a class that the girls normally take.
Oh you play football? That’s cute
