Luck or Skill? You decide.
I think if you have some skill you will have a higher chance to get lucky and pull of something extremely cool or have a match where you are absolutely demolishing everyone

There's only so much skill you can have in some situations in this game.
Which and where you cannot learn from Apex Legends.
1. Luck the window was there, skill you had the reaction time
2. Luck that the player was still there but skill for accuracy
3. You were the better player the legion was terrible you don’t need skill to kill that guy 😂
4. Skill, you had better movement and awareness
5. Planetsided was lucky that his enemies were blind 😂
6. You were a better player, he fell but because you out played him
7. I don’t think he eliminated himself on purpose so I’d say luck but you would have won anyway cus you’re too good

The reason you didn't get the kill on the legion despite being the one who doomed him is that the ronin killed the titan + pilot prior to them ejecting. Doom = kill only applies if the pilot ejects. If you're referring to the doom notification, it appears as if your medal ceremony HUD option is disabled. You don't see the medal notification when you doom the scorch on Glitch either.
I think it's 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will; 5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100% reason to remember the name.

Just as it is with nature vs nurture, the answer is always both. While skill is a significant factor, you can only set up so much. The way your enemy positions, whether they're aggressive or defensive, whether they reposition or hold plays an equally big part. Your opponent sets up a scenario for you, whether said scenario is good or bad, is up to lady luck. How you react, approach, and engage that scenario is where skill comes in.

A trick for all gamers:
If you are ever suffering from a deadly disease called "patato aim", just yell "aim [insert your name here]".
I saw iniquity do it and thought it was for content, but when I jokingly did it in a 1v1 with a friend, it legit helped. After doing some research I've found that there is an actual mental connection or something.

The factors with skill that can be seen through objectivity are aim, movement, awareness, gamesense and risk analysis assessment/improvising. The luck factor is how good or bad your team and enemies are.

I watched a movement guide a few days ago by 'flying tea cup' but the thing is I feel (and probably got a bit) better but was able to get more momentum starting out without grapple and got my first triple kill with the cold war, AND IT FELT GOOD!!!
1: Both, Ronin got greedy, as while the sword is the better weapon to use against pilots, they sort of mindlessly charged you, without taking a guess as to weather or not you still had a second use of grapple, and you knew where to place the grapple in that situation to get away.
2: Luck, most blind grenade throws are, more so then normal ones at the very least, especially in Titanfall, where the gameplay doesn't allow them to be as useful as they are in say CoD, or Gears, etc., despite being a item that relies on skill (normally).
3: Hard to say, though I'm leaning more towards luck, as the Legion never clued in as to where you were sending those shots, to kill the Northstar, and they didn't realize until far to late, once you fully turned on them to stop shooting you when the V-Shield is up.
4: Skill, but also psychological manipulation, as you have no idea how often people forget they can look UP, like I've seen people where they won't look up even if a Sniper shot wizzes past their head, unless they A: Get hit and can't find an immediate attacker around them or below them, or they lose their head and the kill cam reveals their lack of awareness to them.
5: Similar to 4, though more luck based, it's easier to see something moving then something that isn't I find tends to be the case, even with invisibility, like Halo or Titanfalls where it isn't perfect, since unless it's painfully obvious, most people tend to ignore something that isn't moving, unless it's something like a sentry or Guard-mode titan that are an immediate threat, his Scorch is also white which helps, with an Orange gun.
6: I'd say luck, as assuming they know what their doing, they didn't realize you sent your titan down the pit.
7: They had the skills, but the forgot to pay the bills, luck that you both boarded at the same time, and that was really skillful play, especially since tackling an Ion can be a bit tricky, when the pilot knows what their doing, especially for Tones or Legion who has no real way to circumvent the V-Shield, unlike say Scorch or Monarch (to a far lesser extent) who have something that doesn't have to be shot directly at the Ion.
8: They had skill, as they made you use the core on them, being able to bait out a core as a Pilot takes some skill, and some luck.
9: Neither, at least I find it pretty hard to steer just after ejecting, as you have effectively 0 air control, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
10: Skill, (aside from the grenade which is a mix), as while the laser pretty much instantly hits what it's pointed at, especially with Pilots, you still have to predict where their going and you still have to aim it (unlike the smart pistol), if a Pilot is to far away or using stim, I never bother trying to laser them on the occasions I do use Ion.
11: Luck, just because you know where an enemy is doesn't mean they don't know where you are, and from the looks of things they were prepared for someone to come through the window, they just weren't expecting a Mastiff to be pointed at them, if you had chosen a different weapon, it was either going to be a trade or they would have won.
12: Skill, they used the environment to their advantage (something I need to get better at doing when I play), and that one difference in movement is what allowed them to win in that situation.
13: Hard to judge.
14: Dodging that Titan was lucky, Pilots often have issues staying alive when shot at by a tank on legs, and the grapple, skill they saw an opportunity and went for it, and the enemy pilot wasn't watching where they were going.
15: hard to see because of the popups, but skill, using the Termite launcher like that, is really bloody hard, and a good Scorch Pilot vs a bad one often comes down to how they use the launcher and how they place their traps, if their sniping from across the map with them, yeah watch out, a good Scorch that has a good aim, can contest a Northstar at long range, as the Thermite Launcher has some scary accuracy, and with the traps as well, as they follow similar firing arcs, only things to note is where they start, as the traps launch from a higher position then the launcher and from what I've seen in my time playing Scorch, their drop starts a bit sooner then the launcher, however they seem to fly a bit faster, so you can set a long range opponent on fire from out of seemingly nowhere, if I really went tryhard at Titanfall 2 I'd imagine I'd be able to almost rival Northstar's railgun and Ion's laser in accuracy with enough practice.

Yes I find that when I'm playing well I'm enjoying myself but when I'm missing shots I find I don't enjoy it as much and then I fail even more and it's a black hole that's screaming “go for a walk to outside!” Or that's my Dog can't tell

they are active on weekends but try new york server, surely ping is annoying but somehow its not gamebreaking, had a few good games with 23 kills and no noticeable problems

tbh I feel like plays that require the other player to have low skill/not doing what they could have done be based on luck as you pretty much had no idea that thats how the other player will play, however every play you did do what YOU were supposed to to get out of the situation so I think every play had a level of both luck and skill

Honestly, if you're focused solely on leveling, pick up an r201 or a car that way you can do well with minimal practice, burn all the double xp tokens you have during happy hour, and kill every grunt that comes your way along with the pilots and titans

@@PaperCut2UGaming there are a few, wagon fall in particular has caused people to leave after shaming them for not getting as many kills as he can whenever they try to post in the scoreboard channel. I just want it to be a more friendly place.
