複雑な斜面地の建材運搬も困難な敷地。人力での運搬と組立の可能性を模索し、“LVL材”を重ねて“1つのアーチフレーム”とする“組木架構”の建築を考案。構成に“多軸性”を導入して周辺環境とも呼応させる。

Tomohiro Hata Architect and Associates designed a house in Hyogo, Japan.
The project was planned on a site with a complex slope that makes it difficult to transport building materials. The architects explored the possibility of transporting and assembling the materials by hand, and came up with the idea of using a braided wood frame, in which LVL lumber is stacked on top of each other to form a single arch frame. The architects also intended to introduce a multi-axiality to the structure to make it compatible with the surrounding environment.
