@Tevon Barnes I feel this song isn't about Haikyuu, rather just a show he attached it to just for AMV purposes. Example: In The End by Linkin Park isnt about Naruto vs Sasuke Valley of the End (2007), but it still can be blended into it. As many times I've heard this song, I haven't heard any reference to Haikyuu that couldn't be a generic reference to other subjects and most importantly Dizzy's life and where he's at as an artist. (Then again, I haven't finished Haikyuu haha I'm still on their first tournament)
Against the Odds MV - It has over 22k views Against the Odds AMV - It has 16k views I've personally saw MV FIRST when it dropped and was EXCITED to see more MVs from DZ8!!! Literally after I've played the MV 20+ times, he dropped the Haikyuu AMV attached to this. I watched that once; ONCE! It's edited nicely but that wasn't what I kept playing it when I come to this song on TH-cam (I play it mostly on Spotify), it was seeing the performance of Young MC Aizen (Dizzyeight) spit! This track is like his album Winter Interlude, it's so fucking GOOD dawg!

This is probably one of my favorite tracks by dizzy if not, just my favorite it makes me upset that people don’t appreciate the work he puts in to make a music video the amv’s cool to but the MV brings more of a connection to the artist to me, but that’s just my opinion

That is doubling the same content and giving both parts of your fan base that beauty! I also agree with doing X-amount of AMVs then drop a MV to spice it up and keep a rotation.

So the "It didn't do well because it's not an amv" argument can't logically be used here. I personally got the amv notification, watched it and found out about the MV when I went onto his channel looking for a song id forgotten. This one seems like more of a TH-cam algorithm issue as opposed to people choosing not to listen to it.

Anime and anime fans have always been part of a niche group, and twitch members of our community of fans take a step to grow and expand that kind of art found in this community. For these guys who truly elevate our community we have to support them as artists and as our fellow fans.

I love great hip-hop (cordae, jcole, joyner etc.) and I'm a big fan of anime (AOT, my hero, one punch ect.) and to have them both together my my life a little more complete. I like the amvs and the I like the music videos as long as you actually talking about something.
Hard agree with a lot of this, but I do think you're underselling A) the importance of the algorithm and B) just how hard it is to see a video get under a 5 in the YT analytics. I'm sure you know the second, but your channels are so poorly optimized for the algorithm (no shade) compared to the anime channels that this kind of deviation is a massive risk to their growth. There are definitely solutions, but it's extremely dangerous to add music videos into an anime channel release schedule

This song is beautiful! As for the low views, some of that may also be due to the vibe of the song. This ain’t something you play on loop, this is a sit down and take it in when you’re in the right mood. Definitely there are people that only watch the amv stuff, but that’s probably not the whole story. Incredible lyricism though, a great work
