The whole series was great. They were all more rewarding than NFS, because the races were actually in a completely open city. NFS has those bright arrows around turns and shortcuts. Midnight club literally put you in the full map with checkpoints and it was up to you to find the fastest route.

I beat the game finishing the Savo races with the Saikou XS. Not as hard as the Lusso XT, but not as easy as the Torque JX.
