    I really like that you don't expect your viewers to know everything, like some other painter around here. You address a lot of things I'm afraid of while painting, build up structure with too many layers or F Up the whole miniature. It's very refreshing, you got a new subscriber.

    Now, this is the sort of tutorial/tips vid I can get on with. Like, sure I heard the same basics elsewhere but the hunour and the fact you dealt with the frustration side of it and the fact trying to be perfect is just gonna f*** it up more kept me in it. Nice.

    An interesting thing is that blending isn't as important when doing nmm. The most important part is high contrast and getting the reflection points right to sell the illusion of something reading as mettalic. However on skin, that's when blending is super important, because if the blends suck the skin looks like utter crap. Wich is why for skin tones I always use oil based paint because blending is super easy and I can always erase my work with mineral spirits since oils take a couple of days to dry.

    • @ataraxiapainting
      @ataraxiapainting  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Uhm i don’t completely agree. It all depends on what you want to achieve. Sometimes it’s way easier to do smooth blends rather than leaving the brushstrokes. Those brushstrokes, the good ones, are really hard to master. Thanks for the input tho, especially about oils!

      @@ataraxiapainting Hi! Yeah, I can see several influences. You take a little bit of Squidmar for the like, quirky behaviour, and a bit of the cuts from Miniac and it's not bad persé and it might even do wondrs for your or the channel. I just felt it was a little bit too much. Not a major factor, but sometimes distracting from the subject.
      I really like how Ninjon balances out his cuts and painting advice, so, I guess that would be my goto for what I personally like in a video.
      Thanks for responding ;)
      Edit: and I forget, the painting advice in the video is sound and detailed.

    • @ataraxiapainting

      @@Oyxopolis personality wise I don’t take inspiration, it’s just me in the max cringe way ahah. Also I don’t watch much content of those creators tbh so I think my influences are elsewhere and outside the niche for editing and cuts. It’s very hard to find a balance… I don’t have a cult following like ninjon, I’m trying to build my audience from the ground up. Hard to tell if many viewers might think like you.
      Maybe this kind of editing doesn’t really work in our niche??

    • @Crusader_Studios
      @Crusader_Studios 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ataraxiapaintingmore popular content creators don’t have a lock on “quirky” or how many jump cuts/cameras they use. All you have to worry about is just being yourself and putting out the content you’d like. The rest will take care of itself. 😊
