- “I stand 100% by the 1.76 lakh crore figure,” said former CAG Vinod Rai in an interview to The Quint. Rai asserted that if given the chance to conduct the CAG audit on 2G spectrum allocation, he would “do it all over again.” Speaking on his latest book, “Rethinking Governance: Holding to Account India’s Public Institutions,” Vinod Rai spoke about the mandate of the CAG, the changing roles of public institutions, why acquittals in the 2G spectrum allocation isn’t a reflection of the CAG audit and the credibility crisis in the CBI.

Why take interview of this guy. He openly lied about the scam. He just simply gave 1.76 lakh crore estimate. When asked by JPC explain it this guy told he assumed it. He assumed the sum of 1.76 lakh crores. His report and case was rejected by SC as baseless
The 2G spectrum were auctioned for 60000Cr later in 2012. Congress has managed to keep the people in the dark spinning off a farce narrative through corporate media.

Actually when he was asked by the supreme Court to give proof of 1.72 lac cr he said he didn't had it . Then how did u got that figure and he replied that I assumed it
