      That is truly one incredible looking Renault. European only machine? Rally car homologation? I've never seen one of those before and didn't even know it existed. A real collectors item i'm sure. And that V6 must really have that thing screamin' going down the road. It's hard to believe that thing is a 2002 and is 19 years old. It looks modern in design. A machine any owner would be proud of.

    Wow!! Silver isn’t the easiest of colours to get really popping reflections. Under those lights it’s looking awesome! And who could imagine the sound of tyre dressing being applied could be so therapeutic, or is that just me...😆

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quality is a relative term. I will say the Renault had some very clever and contemporary design elements. The light that laminates the license plate was set into the bumper aiming up, the water spigot for the rear wiper was incorporated into the rear wing, and a few other clever little features that impressed me as I made my way around (and around and around) the car. The paint on the Renault was really nice as well.

    Fantastic car , I’ve had the pleasure of being a passenger in 2 of these. Both the mark 1 version & mk 2. I was fortunate enough to work at a Renault main dealer here in the UK during the later 90’s , early 2000. The dealer principal owned both the vehicles. The mk1 being identical to this one & the mk2 being a blue version. So it’s always nice to see cars you don’t see everyday & they bring back memories. Love the vid as always Rick 👍

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I love how certain cars trigger good memories for me. My parents had a T-Bird when I was in my early teens and one just like it popped up on "Bring a Trailer". I am tempted to grab it just for the sentimentality factor. This is a MK 1 if I am not mistaken. Do you know if I am correct?

    • @dazza_UTO
      @dazza_UTO 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RADGarage yes it’s the phase 1 Clio V6. The phase 2 had the badge in the grill not on the bonnet. All phase 1’s were silver if my memories is correct. Phase 2’s has various colour options.

    Great content! What ratio do you dilute the Adams tire and wheel cleaner in your Alkaline ? And why uses the bubbles instead of foam ?

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer the Wheel & Tire Cleaner straight up. I do dilute when I'm getting low or working on wheels I'm a bit worried about but I don't dilute it too much. 2 parts cleaner to 1 part water is about as far as I go. It just becomes less and less effective and satisfying once you go more than that. I have an IK foamer but have never had much success getting it to work properly, so one day I just tried the little IK alkaline and it works great. The bubbles are just as good as foam imho.

    Do you use any degreasers or TFR before foaming? So if the snow foam doesn’t remove all the stubborn road grime you don’t pick it up in your mitt.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have had such good results with the foam that I haven't felt the need to introduce another pre-spray step. Our friends in some European nations get some really nasty road tar as part of the winter road maintenance in their centuries, but here I find quality snow foams have no problem cutting though the salt and dirt our cars are subjected to.

    Fairly quick machine movement is it because it's a aio? So cut is minimal?

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that is mostly due to the video aspect. I usually shoot my video of the polish/correction process when I am just getting the compound spread over the panel I'm working on, so that tends to be quicker. Once I'm in the zone, I don't want to be setting up the camera, so the majority of the polish footage you will see will not be the slow, methodical, cross-hatch pattern. Then, like you say, this is a very light polish I'm doing on this car so that also has something to do with the speed I'm working at. I hope that all makes sense. Thanks for the question.
