I love that mike show his vulnerability even though mike might not be the best match for Katie his speech was still the best, and most romantic everything that he said in that speech, and I truly hope he find a wonderful girl for him.

@@lostlang please not another virgin bachelor 😭 no hate- I just absolutely despised how on coltons season that’s literally the ONLY thing the show had to say about him. Like the show made it a wayyyy bigger deal than it actually is, I felt uncomfortable watching that season whenever they would broadcast colton was a virgin, it felt too personal and like weird. I love mike, but I just don’t want the show to amp up the fact that he’s a virgin if he were to be the next bachelor, it just felt too impersonal on Coltons season if that makes sense.

From what I’ve seen so far it looks like Katie is more into Greg than he is into her. I predict he breaks up with her toward the end.
Thats a fair observation. My response would be: we're 2 weeks in. Give it time. Greg has gone through a lot in his life. I kinda like it more this way actually. It seems more real. I think Katie likes him because he's so real and genuine and himself. He's not trying to be perfect.

Greg was my favorite after episode 1, but after episode 2 I am an Andrew S. convert. Although they both shared specific experiences with Katie, the conversation between her and Andrew S. seemed more natural and sweet to me. Now I’m scared that Andrew S. is gonna get his heart broken!

When she was talking about her father dying and crying on their date he just sat there and said nothing. It just made me uncomfortable and like he didn’t care. I was expecting him to hug her and be like it’s okay I’m here. Or anything else!

- Karl basically did the same that Noah did on Tayshia's season, planting a seed of doubt on the lead's head without much to back it up (this was before Noah'/Bennett beef) and turned it to a 11.
- I think that sexual quiz group date with Heather McDonald might have been a sort of recreation of the unaired group date on Clare's part of last Bachelorette's season, that was hosted by DeAnna Pappas and ended up being cut out of the show (apparently because neither Clare nor DeAnna were happy with the sex content of it). Which goes to show that if one idea doesn't go through in one season, the Production will try to push in the following season (like Kaili's lingerie entrance on Matt's season that Savannah refused to do it on Peter's).

Anyone think its pretty slimy for the producers to cast the classic "virgin" stereotype in a season where everyone is so sex-positive?
It seems like hes only there for them to mess with him before he inevitably leaves.
You can be a virgin and sex-positive for others so no I don’t think it is and most importantly he handled it well and was respectful of Katie’s beliefs.
He honestly seemed pretty chill about it and like he knew what he was going into and like he wouldn’t try to shame Katie or change her views or anything.
Maybe he was cast because production tried to get a new Luke P type villain but I feel like he is genuinely a nice guy, not there to start any beef

I think Katie and Greg have trauma bonded over the grief. It’s not that he’s actually disingenuous, I think it’s that he is grieving and not ready for marriage yet.
As someone who loss a parent to stage 4 cancer I would say that you are incorrect and none of it correlates. When you lose a parent it reminds you that life is so short, precious, and time is of the essence and you just want to LOVE.
The hard part is opening up and because we seen the closet person to us die and that kind of becomes a fear when attempting to attach to new people as we see the world differently. We are ALWAYS going to grieve the loss of our parents and blessings to you if you never had a tremendous loss but, what you said was very ignorant as we don’t just get over our parents deaths and like Katie said, we just learn to manage the pain. However, it’s actually good for us to reconnect and establish new relationships because it reminds us that we are still alive and I’m glad Greg is doing that.
To be honest, I like Greg! He's definitely still grieving his dad and was probably reminded of him on the date, especially when Katie said she also did these things with her own dad. Being reminded of someone you're still grieving while also being on a first date while also being filmed is A LOT. I doubt they'll actually end up together, but I think he's being judged a bit harshly in some of the comments, too.

I feel like what Katie did last season was different then what Karl did (I can’t speak on Aaron/Cody without knowing the specifics of if I think that was right or not.)
The girls last season were so vicious and Katie didn’t bring anything up until the sex worker rumor came out. All women know how some men can be…that rumor put Brittney’s future career prospects in danger but also (and maybe more importantly) it put her physical safety at risk. There are men out there who will hear that rumor and feel entitled to put their hands on her without her consent. That’s never ok regardless of if someone is in sex work or not but that’s the world we live in and the women who participated in speaking (and encouraging) that rumor to exist in the house knew it too. Katie also brought up her concerns to the house first and they still were so vicious towards all the new girls.
It's absolutely different. Katie was trying to look out for other people while Karl is looking out for himself.

I felt like the producers picked Cody for Katie to keep at the first rose ceremony because they didn’t want to miss out on the tension between him and Aaron. I speculate that Cody did something shady to a women/women Aaron knows (potentially even his sister? - seems really personal). Cody was so obviously caught in a place where there was no talking or explaining himself out of it.

Did you notice that the guys seem to know what's going on every step of the way? IE: first impression rose, group date, one on one date, etc. It's like they all watched the bachelorette before and took notes.

Nobody else who has mixed feelings about Katie and Greg's date? I thought she rushed a bit too fast into something that is so extremely close to her as losing her dad and possibly overshared in that moment, not because there is smt wrong with talking about it, but because it was so early on. Like, the absolute, first, date, of the season.
At first I thought his response wasn't supportive enough but I'd be caught off guard too if someone dropped that on our first date... idk.
I agree, I also found it odd that Greg didn't disclose his father when she told him about hers earlier in the date, they could have bonded over shared grief at that time. Instead he told her later in the evening. I dunno, seemed strange.
@@lichi1244eva I thought it was respectful to let Katie have her moment to express her feelings about her father and letting that moment be about her and giving the moment some breathing room before he made it about himself. I thought it was gesture that took thoughtfulness, kindness and control, because most of us when someone shares something traumatic with us our first instinct is to relate it to ourself and start talking about ourself, and our own trauma instead of being a sympathetic ear, but Greg didn't do that and while I've been anti Greg from the first episode, I thought him waiting to talk about his father until later was a very mature thing to do.
I think it’s possible the dates aren’t in the order in which they’re aired. This date could be later on in the process. I mean they take words from someone and create their own Frankensentence. These producers are not to be trusted.
@@Scissorhead6 I totally agree. That was the impression I got. He wanted to give Katie the space to share and didn't want to step on her toes. Both of their losses were extremely painful, but his was even more recent so it may have also been harder for him to discuss in that moment. He probably wasn't planning on sharing so soon, and then was surprised to find they had a lot in common.
