Quality once again Mark. Shame you didn't quite manage to complete the challenge but "Mark's Musings" made up for the shortfall. I bet you've started something tho - just wait for the camera shots through steam to start appearing on social media in abundance. Cheers Steve
hi i am new to your youtube here but i am enjoying it very much seeing the differences from the way u fish there and we do here in the usa .carp are still a trash fish to most here but i love them we go to the rivers here to get them we can get a lot per night i have got up to 20 in a night most run 10 to 15 lbs but so much fun i would like to try some of the baits u us there here to see how they work thanks for some great shows here
Lol 🤪 30:36 did he just throw his lead in the water for no reason i love these challenges but is this carpy to chuck your lead in the water because its been used for a few hours 🤣
Thanks for such a good vid i learnt a lot that will help with my zig fishing. Also I loved the the bit were you stop yourself copying another angler on tv. Just one question why did you not use adjustable zigs?
Hi Mark the reason Pitchers used standard 'fixed' Zigs is the water at Linear is only about 12ft deep at its deepest so it is easier to use the Fixed ones, anything over about 14-15ft and then he would look at swapping to the adjustable
Carl smith (the person who suggested this challenge is another youtuber.) Carl snit and brother Alex have a TH-cam channel aswell and post amazing video so .... Yeah check them out their TH-cam is "Carl And Alex Fishing" sorry for promoting other channels but check them out
so i have noticed a lot of people drop there lead when into a fish does this help at all or is it just a personal thing as im just starting out and need all the help i can get hahaha. P.S love these challenges very entertaining and usefull at the sametime :)
guy stonier It helps a lot more in most situations such as when fishing in snags, weed and other different features but if you're fishing open water with a smooth clean bottom it's not necessary but you still can as it helps bring the fish up in the water.

Great video, but at 30:34 you chuck your lead in the lake after reeling in? why?
Hi carpthing, he dropped his lead into a bucket by his feet just out of shot.
FOX International Limited i heard a big plopping sound when he dropped it??
Yeah it was a bucket of frozen sweetcorn defrosting in lake water.
