Love Gideon's reaction. Can only imagine how Luke looks to a normal imperial. He blew up a Death Star with a one in a million shot, spent the next two years being priority #1 to Lord Vader himself, managed to escape Vader and then went by himself into a confrontation with Vader and the Emperor both and walked away the only one alive. Gideon knew he was screwed.
The reminisce of the Empire are even more afraid of Luke than they are of Vader. For all they know Luke killed Vader, killed the emperor, and blew up the second Death Star and waked away like a boss! I think that's Why Gideon craps his pants, he knows exactly who it is.

This season of The Book of Boba Fett will see the TV shows surpass the movies, in run time. Given this has played out over my entire life, starting at a drive in when I was 4, that's just hard to wrap my mind around there being more TV show than movie.
I'm a 6'2, 200+ lb biker. I wept like a child when I saw this episode! This was the Star Wars I always wanted to see! This was the kind of thing fans who grew up in the 80s always dreamed of. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau knocked it out of the park with this one!
"Is it a Jedi?" It's not A Jedi. It's THE Jedi. The most satisfying part of this episode was watching Gideon's smug, slimy confidence utterly collapse when Luke appeared. Even after he was captured, he always gave a sense of being exactly where he wanted to be and was in complete control of his situation. But then Luke arrived, and Gideon KNEW just what he was dealing with and was TERRIFIED.
Funny story: Bo Katan’s actor Kate Sackoff was asked in an interview with Kristian Harlow about where the third Mandalorian (Axe Woves, the dude) went during the final episode, Katee said he went to the bathroom like a typical dude and missed the flight
Same here, although I'm a 70's OG it was the Din scene that got me. I still to this day cannot watch it without a tear or two. Hopefully they will reunite in either next season or beyond.
I feel like I’m he only one who didn’t care about that at all and actually felt all that was too much. The Luke part was epic, always felt like the whole cute “baby yoda” thing was so annoying
I love how Artoo - who represents Luke’s innocence and kindness - is the one who convinces Grogu to go. If the Jedi of old approached their younglings like cold and distant masters, Luke approaches his like a friend. He is treating Grogu the way Qui-Gon Jinn once treated Anakin, the way the Jedi Order as a whole should’ve treated him. In a way, he’s saving his father once more.
Girl, never ever apologize for crying: it is one of the many reasons why I love your reactions so much, and is an essential part of the human spirit. But PLEASE watch the post-credits for an introduction to a great new story! May the Force be with you!
I cried like an 8 year old kid during this episode (I was 40 at the time). It was so beautiful. Now if we could only erase the travesty that is the Disney trilogy.
It's funny, that even after he tells him it's okay to go with Luke, Grogu doesn't actually move. It's not until Artoo comes in that he does. I'm still curious if he actually recognizes Artoo - since he was trained, there's a good chance he was housed at the Jedi temple during that timeframe.
It gets scarier and much sadder when you realize that the original prototypes for Death Troopers were utilizing the brains/minds of veteran Clone Troopers and soldiers that served the Empire. In Legends, the last we know of Commander Cody is that he had some part possibly in helping contribute to the Death Trooper project. Canon, we still don't know of Cody's fate after the rise of the Empire. Hopefully we finally will find out soon.
Death Troopers and Dark Troopers are two entirely different things. Dark Troopers are basically Battle Droids on steroids. They originated in the 1995 first-person shooter, Dark Forces. This was their first appearance in any media in 25 years.
The Dark troopers first appeared in Star Wars: Dark Forces from 1995. Phase Zero dark troopers were the result of the Galactic Empire's Dark Trooper Phase Zero Project and the predecessors of Imperial Dark troopers. Unlike the latter they were not fully droids, but actually aged clone troopers, transformed into cyborgs covered in Grey heavy armour. These troopers could be seen in Star Wars Battlefront 2 the design is iconic to the game. The Phase I dark trooper was the first model in the dark trooper design program a much more light armoured droid often depicted with a shield and a long blade. The Phase II Dark Trooper was a type of experimental stormtrooper created by the Galactic Empire as part of the dark trooper program. The program's failure had helped to turn the Joint Chiefs away from using battle droids in the Imperial Military. The Phase III dark trooper was the last and most powerful dark trooper exoskeleton/droid. It dwarfed even the Phase II dark trooper, and was intended to be the armor of the next generation of stormtroopers. It was sometimes even classified as a bipedal tank. in the the Mandalorian we see The third-generation design Dark Trooper unlike the EU versions this one was a type of experimental third-generation battle droid manufactured rather than a combat suit piloted by humanoids. The design in the Mandalorian is a mix of the Phase ll and the Phase lll to create a really cool design.
I'm a 50+ year old man and when Luke and Artoo showed up, I cried like a 10 year old. They finally gave us what we waited over 40 year for, Grand Master Jedi Luke Skywalker.
They say timing is everything, and that proves it with this episode. After a year of bad news; Covid, lockdowns, and all kinds of depressing news, this episode came just when people needed it. When I first saw that cloaked figure, I knew right away it was Luke. And this was the Luke Skywalker we always wanted to see, not the one from the newer movies. I’ve seen a lot of reaction videos to this episode and it’s always one of suspense, surprise and tears of joy (seeing Luke) but also of sadness (Grogu and Din are separated.) Don’t be ashamed of crying, I cried and did it again seeing your reactions. It was a wonderful episode that made everyone forget about 2020 even if just for a few minutes. Filloni and Faverau really saved the Star Wars franchise with The Mandolorian and especially with this episode.
Fun Fact: Did you know that during production, the Jedi that would rescue Grogu would be the Kel Dor Jedi Master “Plo Koon”? He appeared in the three Prequel movies “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace”, “Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones”, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith”. He also appeared in the prequel spin-off animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”.
It's alright to let out the tears Vicky...everyone else did, including myself!!! I was touched that you were in the dark when THE JEDI came aboard to save Grogu and turned out to be Luke. And like you, I believe Grogu will be at the side of The Mandalorian again. Loved this reaction video Vicky!!! Keep it going!!!
And that's how we end the Grogu saga; Luke, heartbreak and tears. It'll be interesting to see how they'll carry the emotional weight and light moments without Grogu now, and how Mando will deal with suddenly being the worthy ruler of Mandalore by virtue of holding the Darksaber, given the tension this causes with Bo Katan Probably not best to call Gideon 'Moff', Moff is a title in the empire so there's more than one, and there's the Grand Moff - who was Tarkin before he died on the Death Star.
@@RoninMidzu Thrawn is a Grand Admiral, not a Moff - because Palpatine is canonically a bit of a racist. According to digging, the alive Moffs are Grand Moff Randd, Moff Adelhard and Moff Royen
It;ll be interesting to see how he gets out of it and gets the Darksaber back into the hands of Bo-Katan. Din never wanted to be the rightful leader of Mandalore, and he did try to give the weapon to Bo, similar to what Sabine did. I'm guessing he just goes back to being a Bounty Hunter...maybe working for Boba. But first, he needs a new ship lol. But I think the next arc is going to be heavily focused on the Mandalorians trying to regain control of their planet.
I cannot express how amazing this episode was to me (and so many others I'm sure). As soon as the single x-wing comes to save the day, and we start to see the clues of who came to Grogu's call, every bit of Star Wars nostalgia came flooding back to me. The joy of seeing Skywalker revealed was like being a kid and watching A New Hope again for the first time, and the sense of awe and wonder that the saga has created for me personally over the years. So, so, so glad we got to join you on your experience of The Mandalorian
First time I watched this I just knew that Favreau had to be an OG Terminator fan. They re-captured the creepy, stop-motion effect of the 1st Terminator film perfectly.
I loved getting to see the contrast between strong Vader in Rogue One vs strong Luke here. Vader just had power and force and was unstoppable while Luke had graceful flowing movements.
I love Luke’s scene here and his scene on Crait in The Last Jedi in equal measure. Here he’s channeling his father, saving the day by dispatching “clankers” with style and flourish. In the Last Jedi he’s channeling both Obi-Wan and Yoda, specifically their first lessons to him (“Your eyes can deceive you, don’t trust them” and “Wars not make one great”) and use The Force to humiliate an army that’s halfway across the Galaxy from him. Together they show how well-rounded and powerful of a Jedi he is
Tlj Luke didn’t feel like Luke to me. It’s cute that they made him “different than we expected” but it came off as cheap and pretentious. I didn’t even feel anything when he died.
That final scene always gives me chills and thrills. Felt so good to finally see Luke in his prime as a Jedi Knight and legend long before his downfall.
I don´t know if your patreons allready said this to you. you have to think about one part about that meeting between Grogu and R2. Grogu is 50 years old and was trained in the Jedi temple while Anakin and Obi Wan were there. Since R2 was with Anakin in that time Grogu and R2 know each other and R2 is maybe recognising Grogu from the past. :)
Kevin Smith had a great quote after watching... "Jon_Favreau has the biggest balls in the business with that incredible third act flex!"...It really was an amazing chance John Favreau took by bringing in Luke, making it believable and keeping that emotion.
Bless your sweet heart. Few things in life bring me to tears, but the end of this episode, and the sympathetic response to watching others' reactions to it does the trick, every time.
This episode has rewritten and considered as an alternate timeline where Ben Solo is no longer Luke's first Apprentice. But, Grugo is Luke's first apprentice.
It's important the note the Beskar staff glowed red when crossed with the Dark Saber, it didn't do that against Asoka's regular lightsabers. SO PROUD OF YOU! For recognizing Luke before the face reveal! GOOD JOB! Still think you should have held off on Book of Boba Fet till now, would have loved to have seen your reaction to the reveal teaser in the end credits here.
Us real old-timer Star Wars fans cried over this episode... not just because of the Mando-Grogu story. We waited for our hero. We waited 44 years... we wait 44 years to see this. Not "naive famboy Luke". Not "barely trained headstrong apprentice Luke"... And, fast forwarding to the bitter disappointment more recently; NOT "grumpy old blue-milk drinking Luke".... We waited 44 years to see JEDI MASTER LUKE SKYWALKER. The badass that calmly and serenely walk through a company of Dark Troopers.... never breaking a sweat. Who calmly came for Grogu, the last Jedi Apprentice from the Old Temple. THAT is why we cried... we waited most of our LIVES to see "nobody farmboy Luke" become what we saw here. Am I being a little over-dramatic? Yeah, maybe a little.. but, that's why we cried. Grogu is going to be OK with Master Luke.
The reason why Gideon is terrified is because until now everyone in the galaxy believes that Luke killed Vader and The Emperor. They believe he is the strongest being in the galaxy
Gideon is terrified because to them the Jedi are the ultimate boogie men that destroyed their empire... from his point of view it is like having the Terminator show up... even to the point of trying to off himself instead of facing a jedi.
for those who don't know, Moff Gideon's name is Gideon (first or last name, IDK), and his title (rank) is Moff. as in: Moff Gideon Grand Moff Tarkin Private Ryan Admiral Ackbar Captain Malcom Reynolds
This makes it very clear why it had to be Luke. Even if there are other jedi that fans would be excited to see, Luke is the only person people would trust with babbers.
Elder millenial StarWars gaming nerd here. I was hoping the fact that they were teasing the Dark Troopers the entire season meant they were going to bring back the oldschool EU favorite Kyle Katarn. I feel like I can't be the only one out there.
@@richardsmall5514 I dunno if she did I would have expected her to call it with the saber reveal like most people who knew who Luke was. This might be the first reaction I've seen where they didn't get it until the face reveal (or at least guess it).
Please don't apologize for your black tears. I grew up with Luke being one of my heroes and I was dabbing tears when Luke appeared. So moving. Even now. Pedro Pascal is an amazing actor. He tells Grogu 'Don't be afraid' with such assuredness. I love it. Ranks among the very best of Star Wars, IMHO. Great react!
That guy from the beginning that was holding the other pilot hostage was that perfect example of an imperial perfectionist. He believes that the empire knows best so much that he is willing to not only IGNORE the tragic loss of a widely known planet, but actually encourage that it was a good thing, even though anyone logically would look at the sitaution the way the viewers do (i.e. the Empire only care aboit growing their power and maintaining it in order to follow through on Palpatines orders, since he kills high officers without a second thought almost weekly, and usually end up doing/justifying something horrible. This behavior is so evident in people in the modern age its scary, almost like we all never learned about how bad it would be if everyone decided that everyone else is an enemy or a subject to rule.
It took me a few days to normalize my emotions after this episode. I was a giant mess of "wow they brought Luke back and he was amazing" and "Grogu and Din aren't together and I'm super upset and kind of hate Luke right now". I really hope that Mando and Grogu reunite in Season 3 at some point. I need the end of the last season to be them flying off to some adventure or settling down in a quiet village together after they've stopped Thrawn and Grogu is all trained up as a Jedi.
He removed his helmet...he wanted to look on him with his own eyes...like Vader did with Luke. Luke was watching a father remove his helmet to say goodbye to his son...😥
When the mandalorian took off his helmet I am reminded of what Darth Vader said the blue sky Walker in return of the jedi " I want to look on you with my own eyes".. Once I realized that's exactly what they did I did I cried and not just regular crying I mean tearing up a Box of tissues type of crying.
When we watched this when it originally came out my wife was holding our 4 year old, who was holding a Grogu doll. It was all she could do from breaking down into tears.
The season finale was amaaaaaazing!!! I STILL remember the first time I watched it!!! I was in shock when I see the X-wing 😱😱😱😱😁 hugs and stay awesome Vicky💗
I love the all lady fire team, it didn't feel like oh we need a female moment, because everyone that was there had proved why they were there and made sense for them to be there and the fact that they were ladys didn't even come into it
When I saw the green lightsaber something must have been wrong with my internet connection because from that point to the end everything got really blurry. Also the front of my shirt was soaking wet. I plead the 5th if there was a connection.
Grogu actually recognized R2D2 from the Jedi temple in the prequels , Grogu was there training with Anakin and the other younglings like Ahsoka under master yoda , Windu, Luminara, Ka-Adi-Mundi, Kitfisto etc
At the end, knowing that Mando was looking for the Jedi. As soon as I saw the X-wing, I knew it was Luke. As far as I know, Luke is the only Jedi who uses an X-wing to get around. And then the outfit with the black glove on the right hand with the green Lightsaber. All dead giveaways. It was good to see him in this

"How do they know how to open doors??" ?? Vicky, they're droids; not horses. They're smarter than people; I'd be shocked if they DIDN'T know how to open doors.
"Is it a Jedi?"............... It's THE Jedi also leave it to VKunia to notice the fashionable belt before the xwing, green saber, or gloved hand LOL LOL love it
It's nearly impossible to hope, but it would be so cool if this Luke did not end up to be the Last Jedi Luke. That this is an alternate timeline where Kylo doesn't kill Grogu and the others. I'd love an animated Young Jedi Academy in Clone Wars style where Luke is figuring things out, rebuilding the Jedi and stepping away from the mistakes they had made in the prequel era. One where Ahsoka and Rex can come in and help and support him. One where we learn what it truly means to be a Jedi. Jedi like Qui Gon Jinn.
But it’s not that he likes R2, it’s that: they knew each other! Remember Grogu is 50 years old, was a Padawan at the Jedi Temple just at his very (for his species) young age that time (around 22 years old), and R2 was the droid that was always next to both Jedis Obi-Wan and Anakin, so R2 knew the Padawans, if you pay attention there’s a conversation, going from the joy of meeting again to explaining to Grogu that Luke is the last of the Jedi, trained by Obi-Wan and Yoda, the one that destroyed the Siths, that he would be safe with him and can train him; that’s a strong part of that reunion.
The reason Moff Gideon was so scared of Luke Skywalker, was the fact he was the one who killed and took out the emperor, darth vader, and both death stars. Everyone saw luke captured and in hand cuffs being led to the chambers of the Emperor, and him leaving with a dying darth vader and no sign of the emperor. so lukes reputation for all of that, is what made moff gideon so scared, he knew what his powers are, and he knows he is good of heart, which moff gideon isnt. just remember 1 thing... everything we seen, is on 1 part of the galaxy.... where Ezra, Thrawn, and such are, in another part of the galaxy on the opposite side. if star wars wants to capitalize on this franchise, they would go in the opposite direction where grogu went after and possibly connect them with finding Ezra and facing off against thrawn in the long run.
Only a small handful of officers saw Luke on the Death Star, and they had other things to worry about. Only a handful of imperials saw him surrender on the moon of Endor, and they likely died there on the moon. Hardly anyone outside of the Rebel high command know who he is. After blowing up the 1st Death Star, he was heralded as Red 5, the anonymous farmboy from Tatooine. All the imperial remnants know is there *is* a Jedi still out there. But they don't know who he is or what he looks like.
@@MagusNotre He doesn't know shit. Luke was canonically unknown by the galaxy at large. The Rebel propaganda promoted "Red 5" as an everyday anybody. *Anyone* could join the rebels and make a difference. Vader didn't make his search for Luke publicly known. Virtually everyone that saw Luke at Endor and on either Death Star died shortly after. Luke generally kept a low profile. All Gideon knew was that it was a Jedi storming the ship.
Hey, Vicky! Peyton Reed, the MCU's "Ant-Man" trilogy guy, directed the finale. Creator Jon Favreau promises the third season will be a Mandalorian version of "Game of Thrones"! A tearful Season Finale concludes one major arc and leaves many tantalizing plot threads unresolved! Here's my take on EPISODE 16, "The Rescue": Boba Fett brings the Lambda-class shuttle to a standstill with his ion cannons which disrupt electrical systems as seen when the Rebellion used them against the Star Destroyers orbiting Hoth in "Empire" or when the Separatist dreadnought 'Malevolence' used them against Republic cruisers in "Clone Wars". Lambda-class shuttles transport Imperial VIPs and this one is ferrying Dr. Pershing, played again by Omid Abtahi, who proves especially cooperative. I don't believe the good doctor has any love for the Empire and has been coerced into Gideon's transfusion project. He has always been sympathetic toward Grogu. We get another glimpse of varying Imperial perspectives: instant defector and true believer. The believer kills his disloyal compatriot, taunts Cara and laments the millions lost on the Death Star! We learn that Cara's teardrop tattoo is the emblem of Alderaanian survivors like herself. As the 'Slave-1' makes planetfall, we see Bo-Katan's ship, 'The Gauntlet', parked in the shipyard. Katee Sackhoff returns as Bo-Katan Kryze and Mercedes Varnado, aka the WWE's Sasha Banks, returns as Koska Reeves. Mercedes gets to show off her rassling moves in a quick tussle with Boba Fett. The hostility between Boba and the gals is for THREE REASONS: He is a clone and considered less than a person making him unworthy to wear the armor. His sigil is that of his father Jango's mentor, Jaster Mereel, a former leader of all Mandalore whose bitter enemies were the Death Watch sect to which Bo-Katan once belonged. Lastly, he disparages Mandalore as a lost world the Empire devastated during The Purge in which they bombarded the surface with such heavy laser fire that the superheated sandy soil was fused into glass! All-girl fire team infiltrate Gideon's cruiser by cleverly blocking the launch tube with the shuttle and power through to the bridge making mincemeat of stormtroopers while Din races to lock down the Dark Troopers in cold storage before they're fully charged! Punishing Mandalorian vs. Dark Trooper duel! The beskar proves durable against a relentless pounding that warps the bulkhead around Din's unyielding helmet and the spearpoint penetrates the Trooper's armor plating! The rest of the platoon gets spaced out of the bay! Mando vs. the Moff! Gideon tricks Din into lowering his guard by accepting a truce but then savagely attacks! It's spear vs. saber with the blade superheating the shaft but Gideon goes down! Grogu is rescued but the Empire has his blood! Din vs. Bo? The Lady Kryze refuses the Darksaber as she didn't earn it in battle against Gideon which could potentially put her at odds with Djarin. Gideon stokes the discord and conceals a fallen blaster. The Dark Troopers return to the cruiser and methodically storm the bridge battering the blast shields! It's a last stand! A lone X-wing arrives and a hooded figure with a familiar BLACK GLOVE and GREEN LIGHTSABER cuts through Dark Troopers like butter! Grogu's call to a Jedi has been answered! Gideon makes a desperate final play, seizes the hidden gun, unloads on Bo-Katan, attempts to kill Grogu and tries to off himself before Cara disarms him! Bo-Katan's armor saves her life while Din shields Grogu with his armored body! LUKE SKYWALKER and R2-D2! Digitally de-aged and deep faked with an 'uncanny valley' "Return of the Jedi"-era face, MARK HAMILL voices his iconic role!
Din publicly removes his helmet, says an emotional farewell and advises his ward to "NOT BE AFRAID". Does Grogu complete his training before the disaster revealed in the Sequel trilogy? Who knows? POST-CREDIT SCENE: Obese Bib Fortuna, Jabba's Twi-lek major domo, holds court in Jabba's throne room on Tatooine. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand arrive blasting Gamorrean, Weequay and Nikto guards, blow a hole in Fortuna and mount the dais. Boba shoves Fortuna's bloated corpse to the floor and takes the throne for himself. A new era in the Underworld begins and a new show is announced: "THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT". Favreau confirmed that "The Book of Boba Fett" is distinct from "The Mandalorian" Season 3 but would precede it. I hope they recreate in live-action flashback the missing animated episode where he gets the dent in his helmet from Cad Bane and reveal his emergence from the Sarlacc!
@@brucemaximus3797 But Vader is called "Lord Vader" by his subordinates and none of Palpatine's or Maul's subordinates kneel/bow to them while addressing them as Darth something? I like my idea better that it's more like a renouncement of heritage.
@@Mansplainer2099-jy8ps Keep in mind, most people in-universe don't know _anything_ about the Sith; almost nobody knew Palpatine was a force-user, not even the rebellion. Yes: the taking of the new name is a renouncement of the old identity, but the name, the words, have meaning. "Darth" translates to "Lord," that's cannon. Using the title "Darth" would mean you were aware of the addressed being a Sith Lord, and what that name means. To everyone else, the normies in the empire, you're introduced as "Lord." Plenty of those running around in the galaxy, nobody bats an eye.
@@brucemaximus3797 I gathered all that but my point still stands, how are you a "Lord" if practically no one knows what "Darth" means and the few who do don't use it that way e.g. Obi-Wan doesn't and Vader and Maul say "Yes, my master."? And yes, I understand the name, the words, have meaning, everything has meaning, and yes, I understand how it would be canon, it just doesn't fit very well.
Bo Katan and Koska Reeves could at least have told why Axe Woves was gone. "He is on vacation, got a great groupon for a Hoth weekend stay!" Cut to Axe freezing on Hoth "Well this sucks!"
I had the same thought everyone did. "Where's the third one? Why isn't he there?" My brain giggled at me and told me Axe was probably delivering the weapons and cruiser they had stolen from the Imperials to Mandalore a few episodes earlier. What would have been really interesting is if Boba had joined the strike team in the command center. Awkward, to say the least.
First, I love your opening explanation of muting and filtering. Nice text crawl too. 6:28 "No! how do they know how to open doors?" Um, you do realize that most droids understand the concept of doors, and a combat droid that doesn't understand how to open a door is going to be pretty useless on a spacecraft, in a city, in any kind of structure, right? (I mean, a MOUS droid might not know how to force a door open, but it still knows it needs a path to get from point a to point b that doesn't involve a solid wall.) You missed the post credit scene... Since it made such an impact with the MCU, Disney has been doing that elsewhere too.
I'm glad they resolved the Din/Grogu arc as it was needed to push Din's character on going forward, else it could become stale, him being some sort of nanny for the (50 year old!) kid. One hell of a resolution though, couldn't have done it better.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything from this episode, reaction or otherwise; so seeing Luke again after a year got me all emotional again. What an awesome finale. I don’t know if I’m in the minority, but even though I love Grogu, I feel like his story ended at the appropriate time. Any longer and it would have felt like they were dragging it out. Now a new plot can be explored that focuses more on Mandalorian stuff.

It's not A Jedi.
Just imagining him coming in to an empty bar like “goddamit they did it again”
Glad you brought that up. I forgot all about that and I was wondering about it before
You could say he was busy polishing his helmet.
This episode was awesome. Honestly, I did NOT expect to cry but I LOST IT WHEN DIN TOOK OFF HIS HELMET
Din: "Don't be afraid." Me: 😭😭😭
Same here, although I'm a 70's OG it was the Din scene that got me.
I lost it when Luke and R2 came.
He wanted to look on him with his own eyes...like Vader did with Luke.
Luke was watching a father remove his helmet to say goodbye to his son...😥

I love how Artoo - who represents Luke’s innocence and kindness - is the one who convinces Grogu to go. If the Jedi of old approached their younglings like cold and distant masters, Luke approaches his like a friend. He is treating Grogu the way Qui-Gon Jinn once treated Anakin, the way the Jedi Order as a whole should’ve treated him. In a way, he’s saving his father once more.
This episode still gives me chills. Glad to see you enjoy it as well!
A big potential theory is that he WAS the at the temple when Vader went there to kill the younglings... And possibly Artoo helped him escape
@@cmoeller3 Doubt it. I don't think R2 would have gone with Anakin to Mustafar if he had been there to see what happened at the temple

We could have had this kind of emotions in the Disney Trilogy, but instead we had "Rey Skywalker" 💔
*Jedi Knight, but still I echo your thoughts.

Yeah, I think she mixed it up with the Jersey Devil
The mothman movie was cool.
And that's how we end the Grogu saga; Luke, heartbreak and tears. It'll be interesting to see how they'll carry the emotional weight and light moments without Grogu now, and how Mando will deal with suddenly being the worthy ruler of Mandalore by virtue of holding the Darksaber, given the tension this causes with Bo Katan
Probably not best to call Gideon 'Moff', Moff is a title in the empire so there's more than one, and there's the Grand Moff - who was Tarkin before he died on the Death Star.
you know that the last Grand Moff of the Empire is still Thrawn, who's lost in the Unknown Regions )))
Good observation.
Together they show how well-rounded and powerful of a Jedi he is
Took the words right out of my mouth there
He never did get those power converters from toshi station
This. Both Mandalorian Luke and TLJ Luke are valid.

This might be my favorite scene in all star wars movies, shows, games, etc. It's just so cool and emotional.

@@Scott_Burton This!
So time to start on The Clone Wars then.
Nice to see Luke for the first time since Return of the Jedi!
Could this be the alternate timeline where Ben is Luke's son, and we get Jacen and Jaina back instead?

He doesn't know shit.
Here's my take on EPISODE 16, "The Rescue":
Boba Fett brings the Lambda-class shuttle to a standstill with his ion cannons which disrupt electrical systems as seen when the Rebellion used them against the Star Destroyers orbiting Hoth in "Empire" or when the Separatist dreadnought 'Malevolence' used them against Republic cruisers in "Clone Wars".
This deserves more likes.

Yeah... this one made man, women and children of all ages cry bittersweet tears :')
Why isn't he there?"
My brain giggled at me and told me Axe was probably delivering the weapons and cruiser they had stolen from the Imperials to Mandalore a few episodes earlier.
What would have been really interesting is if Boba had joined the strike team in the command center.
Awkward, to say the least.
Every reactor I've seen who watched The Mandalorian cried like a baby watching this episode
This is the moment we've been waiting for you to see since the beginning of you watching this lol. SOOOO great - thanks for the reactions.
@VKunia Grogu knows R2 from the Jedi Temple
Got shivers from seeing the eyeliner inside your eyeball.
First, I love your opening explanation of muting and filtering. Nice text crawl too.
6:28 "No! how do they know how to open doors?"
Um, you do realize that most droids understand the concept of doors, and a combat droid that doesn't understand how to open a door is going to be pretty useless on a spacecraft, in a city, in any kind of structure, right? (I mean, a MOUS droid might not know how to force a door open, but it still knows it needs a path to get from point a to point b that doesn't involve a solid wall.)
You missed the post credit scene... Since it made such an impact with the MCU, Disney has been doing that elsewhere too.
You are going to love Clone Wars so much
I'm glad they resolved the Din/Grogu arc as it was needed to push Din's character on going forward, else it could become stale, him being some sort of nanny for the (50 year old!) kid.
They do have a Luke show in the works. It's still early in preproduction, but it's still in the que.
