    I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.

    I just bought one today and at the 12 minute mark you’re able to just put the bit into the dremel after loosening it? None of the bits that came with mine fit. Could I be doing something wrong? I followed your video as closely as possible.

    • @ToddsGarage
      @ToddsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jessica, is the bit not fitting into the collett after you have loosened the collet nut up?

    • @jeanettejones7957
      @jeanettejones7957 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same problem and it is not addressed in this video. The hole is not big enough to accept the shaft. I took the collet nut completely off and took the bit shaft and pushed the middle shiny part completely out of the collet from the top. It won't come out if you push from the bottom. I put it back in but it was loose. I just assembled with it somewhat loose and started tightening with my fingers. I tried to insert the shaft again and it went in just fine. I then held down the lock button and finished tightening with the wrench. This may be screwy but it worked.

      @@ToddsGarage Yo Todd, I'm having a hard time deciding between this and the Bosch Gro 12V. Word on the street is, it has more torque than the 8220 but, almost no accessories and it's more expensive and some review shows the 8220 struggles with cutting nails/ screws etc is it true? what's the max speed of the 8220 is it true that it's 30k and not 35k? I found a $176 for a platinum version, meaning I get everything with 2 batteries and box with the exception of flexi shaft which I don't need as I'm not carving anything and if I have to, there is an precision attachment. The Bosch on the other hand cost $176without accessories so another $50 minimum for full accessories.
