We were going to stay there over July 4th this year, but ended up switching to Saratoga Springs because we've stayed there before and liked it. Still haven't stayed at OKW yet - probably will some day soon - but not in a rush.
We have never stayed at a DVC resort while visiting Disneyworld, are most of these co-located with hotels, and if so, are pools and other amenities shared with the hotel and DVC guests or does each have their own?
It depends on the DVC resort. Several resorts stand on their own. Like Old Key West, Saratoga Springs and Riviera. Resorts like Wilderness Lodge Boulder Ridge have a separate pool but guests at the Wilderness Lodge hotel resort can also use it. Then there is Copper Creek Villas. They share the same building as the regular hotel rooms at Wilderness Lodge. So they share a pool. Generally if the DVC resort shares the same grounds as a regular Disney Resort Hotel, then guests at the DVC resort and hotel have use of all the colocated pools. A resort like Animial Kingdom is a little different. There are two. Kidani Village and Jambo House. Guests can use any of the pools, but the two properties are quite a distance apart that it probably isn't all that practical for someone at Kidani to go to Jambo, or vice versa, just to swim. Though I am sure people have done it. The same is true for other amenities.
@@DestinationTimeshare I'm really interested to see if they've adopted high-pressure tactics now that they've started offering incentives like gift cards.

Are WDW Resorts available through II? I can never seem to find one.
They are available in exchange. Not available getaways. The resorts are limited. Most common is Old Key West and Saratoga Springs Resort.

Did you attend a DVC sales presentation for a Disney gift card while you were staying there?
We did not. We’ve never done a presentation with DVC.
