th-cam.com/video/U9pt3zaOZaw/w-d-xo.html Here is the troubleshoot video! In the video I show in more detail (& slower) how to put the durag together. I also include how I weave in all the ends. It also has the durag measurements, chain count for the different durag lengths, & some more answers to a lot of the questions y’all had. Be sure to read the description to get the different timestamps. Hope this helps! 🥰🖤
I am a beginner.....and out of the blue a head wrap came into my head......not too sure of what the hell I am doing 😅....but watching your video should help....I am using cotton yarn.....hook size 2.5mm hook will this work ??? ...It's all I have on hand now ❤❤
Great tutorial and super cute durag! If you increase by 1 on your even rows (row 2, row 4, etc) it’ll create a curve & you’ll be able to avoid having to sew down the flaps in the end.
I think what she meant is at the start of rows 2 and 4, Chain 4 and dc in the very first stitch. That way you'll have 2 dc in the first stitch and then you continue doin mesh stitches for the remaining of the row. Row 3 will be a regular mesh stitch row with no increase. And then row 4 will be an increase row. Rows 5-10 will be regular mesh stitch rows. If you do this you won't flat to sew the flaps in the end That's how I did mine and it turned out fine.
Thank you so much for this pattern. I also have a business and I started it two years ago. And by the grace of God, I am doing my first fashion show coming up on the ninth and I just wanted to add some final touches. Your durag is a perfect addition to my line. I am doing half-and-half colors with a charm in the middle right where the colors meet. I hope it turns out good. I’ll tag you on my Facebook. 😍
Found this on TikTok and made one watching the tutorial but Lawd how I grabbed a 5.5 hook instead of a 8 🤦🏾♀️😂. I made a toddler durag lol. Now to make more with a size 8
THANK YOU so much for this tutorial. One of my best friends is a black woman who grew up muslim and is only in recent years experimenting with showing her hair. I opened youtube in front of her and this was a thumbnail suggested video and she was instantly like OOOOH!!! lol so I'm making it part of her Christmas gift. This tutorial is super clear and I really appreciate it. I made a change you may find helpful for the future if you ever update the pattern - when I started the first row of mesh I skipped making it into a square and instead chained three, skipped two and then double crocheted. On the next row on the way back I did the same - no chain, just directly into a double crochet. Immediately you'll see it starts forming the triangle you achieved by folding over so less effort and less bulky with no extra fabric folded! I just continued to do that until I had the approximate size of your example and it seamed up so nicely.
Someone told me to come to your page. When I tell you this was the best video for me. I didn't get lost, not one time. I finished mine in 2 days on the first go round. You explained everything from beginning to end❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for this video. I love mine and I will be making more..😍😍
This is easy to do, but the strap part became confusing and I had to figure it out for myself. It looked like you went in the back of the chain, but you didn't say. First time I went in the back, my strap came out mangled. The second time, I rewatched and looked at the alignment of everything and realized to get that effect, I'd have to go in the right side of the chain. Laying it out flat and comparing it to what was on screen helped tremendously. It's probably easy for some verteran crocheters, but I haven't crocheted in years. My daughter, a new crocheter is having the same confusion. Thank goodness I was able to help her out.
I’m so happy I found this tutorial. It so pretty. I would be switching black with pink for a strawberry cow type of style. Thank you for the video! ❤❤❤

@@kimtaylor5383 lol I ended up fixing it. I just took it apart and started over and took my time, rewatched the video and some how got it right. I hope you end up fixing yours as well🙂
@@kimtaylor5383you crochet back up the strap towards the top of the project. Once you get to where the strap and previous rows meet, keep going like you normally would. Ch 1 and put a dc in the next open mesh space. I hope this help😁
Love this video. I did something wrong cause mine is a lil funny looking but I’m gonna try it again 😂 I bought a sample pack of yarn so it’s taking multiple colors which might have something to do with it 😩
Hey miss ladi, i love your work & made my first durag in a teal color, will tag you on facebook & tik tok when i post the pic. But i have a question, you took the dawning needle out at 21:37 at the bottom of the durag, did you put it back in & weave in some yarn because it skipped to you cutting the yarn in the middle of the seam?? Just wondering before i weave in the ends of my triangles lol 🦋🌈💙
I love your tutorial it was very easy to follow, but did you forget to add the part on how to sew down that triangle section or am I slow and your just supposed to leave it alone 😂 either way your tutorial got the job done I love it!
I might have sorry lol but I don’t sew down the triangles, just weave in the strings just like the other loose strings on the durag. & thank you! I’m glad you love it & it was easy to follow!! 🥰🖤

I’ve had to start over several times when I comes to the strap part. Idk what I’m doing wrong but I turn my work etc and skip a stitch like you stated in the video but once I get to the end of the strap it’s backwards and doesn’t lap over like I should 🤦🏽♀️
Ok so on the second row and the continuing rows of the mesh, we’re not actually going in the big open hole, but the stitch that’s on top? I think that’s where i keep messing up at

Hi ,like your tutorial
Thank you! 🖤
She's using an L 8 mm and a J 6.00 mm crochet hook
Are we starting with the 8 and switching to 6 at some point? Cause I just started with the 6 and don’t wanna get too far.
Begin with 8 and then join it together with 6.
So basically two rectangles and mesh stitch through. Then connect together. Noice
