Junior Mehmood battling stage four stomach cancer, say close friendsJunior Mehmood was undergoing treatment at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, Johnny Lever said.Veteran actor Junior Mehmood, known for his roles in films like Kati Patang and Aan Milo Sajna among others, is currently battling with stage four stomach cancer.
Salam Kazi, a close friend of the actor told news agency ANI, “He was ill for 2 months and initially we thought that he might have some minor problem but after that suddenly his weight started decreasing.”
He also said, "And when the medical reports came, it said there was cancer in the liver and lungs and a tumour in the intestine and he has also developed jaundice. So the treatment going on, but the doctors said it's a stage four cancer."Johnny Lever said he was recently informed about the veteran actor's deteriorating health condition. "I was informed by one of his close associates that he has been unwell for ten days and is on liquid (diet), and that he has cancer. That's when I met him and I was told that he has stage four stomach cancer," he told PTI, adding that Junior Mehmood was undergoing treatment at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. "Now, he is recovering at home," he added.In a career of over four decades, Junior Mehmood featured in over 250 films across seven languages. His other popular films include Brahmachari, Kati Patang, Hare Raama Hare Krishna, Geet Gaata Chal, Imaandaar, Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri, Aaj Ka Arjun, Gurudev, Chhote Sarkar and Judaai. The actor also appeared on TV shows such as Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and Ek Rishta Saajhedari ka.

This vdo clip has bought back nostalgic memories of yesteryear's 💕 Woh bhi kya din the 💕, I remember watching hit movies with my family in late 80s , tickets were quite affordable, and the craze was not that addicted, new technologies were introduced ~ 70mm screen , Dolphy sounds so on., wafers and samosa along with coke were common during interval, aur black mein tickets kharidna woh bhi dhar dhar keh hahaha.. bellbottom pants, Rajesh Khanna style jackets, hair style 😨 Woah kya kehne... Vulgar was absolutely not there, nor barbaric crimes scene.. emotion and comedy unforgettable.. Comedy for me was just "Mehmood Saab" , Jr. Mehmood was like watching Saab's reflection, his comic scene, dialog delivery was amazing 👌💕 a movie without either Senior or Jr. Mehmood was not considered a movie worth watching . Looking at his present conditions has truly made me sad, almost with moist eyes and folded hands I pray almighty to give Jr. Abundant strength , good sleep , speedy recovery and shower his celestial blessings upon Jr. and his family 🙏
