People is a very comforting song. Suga has always expressed in his songs how he chases after his dreams and goals but how that can also be a double-edged sword. I think People is his way of saying it's okay to just exist. I hope you're able to get through all of D2, and I'm looking forward to your reaction to the last track, Dear my friend. I'm sure you've seen the comment already that you don't find BTS, BTS finds you when you need them the most. I hope their music and energy can help inspire you in your life to escape the monotony you're feeling. RM's second mixtape mono is also very comforting; it's short but takes you through a lot of emotions. The live versions of Magic Shop, Answer: Love Myself, 2!3!, Mikrokosmos and Forever Young are all very powerful, not just for their messages but for the reaction it draws out of ARMY in the audience. Here's the thing, for me. Lots of people have said something similar along the lines of "Accept life as it is and enjoy what you have", but I tend to dismiss that as facile. But with Yoongi I do NOT dismiss it. Because I can go back to his first mixtape and see how angry, frustrated and scared he is. D2 is an authentic and organic growth from there. When Yoongi says he's come to be more accepting of life, he MEANS it, and he's EARNED it. To me, that is fucking beautiful.
D-2 is incredible. I love how diverse all of the songs are both lyrically and stylistically. He writes the human experience, particularly the shadows as you said, so well. It is an underrated album.
I listen to this song A LOT. It is amazing musically and lyrically and I think it is really unique. It doesn't really sound like anything else I have heard before. There is a really great older BTS track called Moving On which I think you may like. Mellow vibe and great vocal hook.💜

"You being ordinary is rather me being special"/ "Me being ordinary is you being special" you can't fully translate it but what he meant is what is normal to you is something special to him for example: you can walk around without people talking pictures of you/ shopping without people staring and stalking at you is a normal thing but it is not normal for suga and it is special to him. And what is normal to suga such as in performing in front of lots of people, constant interviews and the dark side of being famous is special to you.

This is one I listen to a lot and I can’t always explain why I love it so much but it makes me want to sit in a train or bus and people watch and remember it’s all going to be ok. It’s a very relatable and comforting song without offering comfort over say just solidarity and perspective. In my early days as a fan I used to worry when haters said mean things about bts disbanding cause I started to feel anxious if the boys will be okay when the day arrives that a spotlight won't be on them and I can remember yoongi said that he understands that the journey of bts and army is like an airplane journey and that one day the plane will land and he only hopes that it's a smooth and gentle landing and that he doesn't really worry at all about when it happens. Songs like this and thoughts like those make me really happy that they will be okay. That once everything is over that they will still be fine. When I listen to it it's like a message that we will all be okay. And also D2 by AgustD and mono by RM were a great comfort after their sentiments in their 1st mixtapes.

And uhgood, my other comfort, you are me I am you, song from RM's mono, it's my most played song on Spotify (considering it's been out since 2018 and I started my current spotify acc in 2018).
Don't glance over the masterful word play Doolset referenced. The words for "person" "life"and "love" all sound similar in Korean. Reflect on the lyrics again alternating the words - people live, people love, people change, life changes, if you live like that, if you love like that, if you're a person like that, what about it? 💜

There's an old ARMYs saying regarding to the BTS rapline's mixtape: Namjoon analyze the world Yoongi criticize the world Hoseok visualize the world And if you listen and read their lyrics you'll realize that it's really true. Namjoon's deep-meaning, poetic, genius wordplay lyrics, Yoongi's raw, relatable and honest lyrics that will cross straight to your heart and Hoseok's is the perfect mix of the two, his raw, deep and emotional lyrics were hiding in his energetic/hopeful melody. Excellent appreciations that you have shared about this song, as every good song puts us a mirror. It's very human Suga, and he writes from that depth, I also really like the song. I feel that sometimes you "separate" yourself and find yourself in others, in their actions. Integrate the human in oneself, that process of integrating the shadow as you have said. I’m not serious person, I'm when I need, but I have resting b*tch face, and I have this after my mom, people often tell her after first meeting "ohh you are so kind when I saw you I was scared". And I have this typ of face too, my sister less, are my really comes out when I'm feeling bad, like everyone is like "yeah lets give her space" and when I wake up uuu my parents and husband usually don't talk to me for hour after I wake up.
