Now on TH-cam, there’s a channel called “The Shilt Show” where a guy completes seemingly impossible challenges on the original Halo games. Can we watch every single Shilt Show video back to back? LETS GIVE IT A SHOOOOTTTTT!!!
11:55 in theory exactly that, in the helmet cam cutscene they talk about "plasma scarring, maybe there was an accident you know friendly fire?" the reason this elite's chest is cut so wide is after the flood jumped into his chest to infect him, another elite slashed him with energy sword or concentrated plasma rifle/pistol fire
Also worth noting that because these pod infectors were so old, as with the one that infected Jenkins, it's possible some buried into the chests of these Elites but then never successfully infected them.
@@ErythriumIn all fairness they still could be infected, just not transformed. As we know, it takes only inhaling flood spores, being scratched, or being bitten to turn an individual. So while the infection form could be destroyed, the initial flood cells that had made contact with the body as it tore into it could’ve shed off and started the process.
Absolutely love your brother 😂 “Can I perform a grenade Jump in this game? Probably not, let’s see. Oh that’s, okay that was fucked I just killed myself” Cinematic gold.
For those who are unaware those elites with their chest cavities ripped open are also a reference to aliens Aliens being a large inspiration for the Halo storyline with Sergeant Johnson being directly inspired off of Sergeant apone among other things. There's also an Easter egg in the first mission with a poster on the walls on the little boards inside the pillar of autumn. In the new graphics is replaced with a reference to a lost possum but in the old graphics it's a reference to alien and it says lost cat answers to jhonesy
I was an Alien versus predator player before I ever played Halo the first time I ever walked into that room I was expecting there to be xenomorphs And so when that mission started to give me alien vibes... I tore through the covenant determined to destroy my ancient enemy The perfect organism. I didn't lose a lot of Marines because I knew it was Master Chief I could just beat down the enemies and keep the Marines protected Johnson squad was mostly intact the first time I played through those missions. The flood did not have acid for blood and so I did not have to stop beating them down. My brother used to ask me why the flood used to make me go berserk Then I showed him Alien versus predator 2010. And he too realized that to survive you must adapt You must become the hunter of hunters. Like predator I sought new worthy prey. I have killed pairs of hunters with my bare hands Dance through jackal snipers and killed them all Stood shoulder-to-shoulder with brutes and smashed them down Years later I would take to multiplayer. Groups of enemies we're not enough. The most deadly prey was other Spartans. And Hunt we did.
I hope the halo ce remake keeps stuff like this. When I was a kid the only mission my sister and brother and I couldn’t handle was the library. That one was the worst
For some reason, I absolutely suck at clipping through doors but I want to give this a try, just because! I love seeing any of your Halo content, from the super complicated "I could never do that in a million years" to "Hey, I might actually be able to do that!" All of it is a blast to watch! 😎👍
Discovered this channel about a week ago. I haven't been a gamer in many years, but I've been binging every video almost non stop ever since. I don't know if I can continue this momentum much longer but.... LET'S GIVE IT A SHOT!
Your video hosting personality is a great blend of actual enthusiasm with a small pinch of gaming youtuber satire. You're a very funny man, keep up the good work! The setups in your videos give me a similar vibe to the glitch setups in gen 1 pokemon games, which I really enjoy. Hope you can find ideas for videos that are complex enough for good content! I'm loving the 20+ min video format. I usually pause partway through and finish the video later on the same day though. So sorry if that fucks with your analytics
I never knew about this room being sealed off before, but now that I do I kinda wanna look at this myself. But since you're now doing Halo CE, see about the suggestion I left in the discord for Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals. I'll bet that'd be a cool thing to figure out.
I cant thank you enough for the content you do and the way you make anxiety and stress go away. I stumbled upon your channel randomly one time and since then youve been my go-to for relaxing and also finding more stuff out abotu Halo, a franchise i loved back when i was very young and still owned an xbox 360. Much Love.
I was always looking for those disemboweled elites when I was a kid!! -- if only I had this tutorial back in '05. 💯💯 Crazy how there were live flood when you get into the room, makes the vibes 100 times more chilling, sheeeeshhh Keep doing what you do, you're the best putting out halo tricks content!! Even after decades, it's so nice seeing people passionate for the OG games
Here’s some new idea, I know of a secret room I’ve never seen anyone get into. The room is in Halo3 and the location is the first mission on the last section of the mission. The secret rooms location Is where the Arbiter says “You see how they bate their trap?” Right after the Arbiter says that and the cutscene ends you walk forward and look directly behind you and there’s a room with random equipment and it’s super dark and I believe foggy. I was just wondering if you could make a video on getting in and ext that room
What I find really odd, is that they took the time to update the graphics on the elite for the anniversary edition, for characters they didn’t expect anyone to see. And those are unique graphics, as far as I know they’re nowhere else in the game.
The chests are ripped open because the flood was being stored as microscopic spores. The covenant thought the flood was a super weapon, not a galaxy devouring pandemic. They ended up releasing and breathing in the spores while looking for the super weapon, allowing them to incubate in their lungs/chest. What tore out of their chests was the flood infection form or Neoseeker, which are the small cashew shaped enemies with red tendrils in front. They then started attacking and infecting everything around them.
Sounds kinda plausible, but is this confirmed anywhere or just speculation from the new flood-precursor retcon that 343 did? I always figured the flood didn't know what they were doing when they were first woken up and some just tore the chests up
Your content is so refreshing. Seems like nowadays most halo channels are news-oriented, and don't get me wrong, they're all amazing, but I just love the way your content stands out. Keep up your fantastic work
The reason the chest was opened up was because the flood infected elites shot other elites in the chest and scrambled other guts and shit because plasma is hot
I know a lot of people relate to being terrified of the Flood while playing CE, especially as kids, but it's always nice hearing others share how the game hit them. Even playing the levels leading up to 343 Guilty Spark, CE has such a moody and ominous vibe at times, and it was unsettling in many different parts for me. The structure in the Silent Cartographer, where they put the sword Elite, was one of my first memories of actual anxious dread for what's around a corner. I think the overall feeling comes from the game's original lighting being so dark, to a certain extent at least.
I experienced my very first feelings of liminal dread while exploring the multiplayer levels alone. These places, typically full of friends and action, were dreadfully horrific in solitude. Sound played a major role: like the howling wind in Sidewinder, or the terrifying muted screams of agony echoing through Hang 'Em High
Love your content mate... my brother and i till this day is our favourite game of all time. bought this at launch in AUS, i was 23 and my bro was 21.... Awesome times
I've been following your channel for a while and really love how you keep evolving these videos to make them more and more entertaining! The Halo community needs more people like you!
Disembowel means to remove the organs from the gastrointestinal tract, usually by making an incision in the abdomen. It can also mean to slash or tear the abdomen to expose the internal organs.
The videos with your brother are the best. You are so funny together and it reminds me of dragging along my gaming challenged brother to do dumb stuff in Halo.
Ha that's hilarious in my head I was thinking: "I wonder if they tested respawning with the other player really close to the door if it would be more consistent"
so imagine something eating your chest and then you tear it off out of sheer terror and strength and then you bleed out becasue of the trauma maybe his heart was damaged and that is needed for the infection to get a hold on the infected hosts body
DUDDDEE I LITERALLY JUST COMMENTED ON YOUR HALO 3 videos do you do any halo 1/2 content and here you are fucking love you man I’m so glad I gave you a shot keep at it!
CE used to scare me and my sisters as well. Don't feel bad. We kinda liked it though, and it's always more tolerable if you have someone with you. Co-op was such a blast. In fact, it's so fun, that when I visit my parents for any holiday reason, me and my youngest sister will still usually sit down and play some CE co-op. The multiplayer maps were truly the spookiest places, especially on OG xbox where the only multiplayer was local. The ambience on Gephyrophobia is still unrivaled to this day, in my opinion. Same with Hang 'Em High. Find me more atmospherically unsettling maps that also present as just basic locations, in any video game. I dare you.
There's a simple trick you guys could have used to get the turrets into position more easily. Do it before you trigger the cutscene and move the turret into the door. that makes it get stuck during the cutscene and makes it much easier to get in and out. it's still not easy to get it into position, but at least it makes it so the orientation doesn't matter as much
I have always wondered why you find a marine on the hill if you grenade jump up there on 343 Guilty Spark. Now, time to watch the vid, I also always wondered about where these elites went, and assumed they had been changed into Flood.
"how did they get these turrets in here?" -- good question, easy answer -- they disassembled them first, then built them in the room. Not that you can do the same, especially since in CE everything is made of unexplodium, but still...
I love the music you use. Don't take this as an insult, bu. Your videos could be seen as very boring, because you are just doing the same thing over and over again. But for a Long time Halo fan like me, first of all it's so interesting to see your explanation what you want to do, what are the requirements, how this even works and why it is the way it is. And second... Seeing you actually succeeding in that very complicated stuff is freaking awesome. Well, finally the music keeps you invested throughout the whole video and every Halo fan knows how important music is 😄👍
I wouldn't say thst it would be boring, because its still very interesting what you do and how you explain it. But the music definitely gives it it's fast paste nature
You did alot of pointless positioning beating, get it close to the door and get in the turret, you’ll exit on the right no matter which way the turret is positioned so all you have to do is rotate yourself in the seat. You did a lot more setup for the clip through than needed.
Maaaaans running out of content 😭😭😭😭
There are only two guarantees in life:
1. Me putting out content every week
2. You commenting I’m running out of content every week
Your chat history contradicts this comment, strange. Unless I'm missing a running joke here?
@@TheShiltShowTbh as long as your posting a video I'm happy, doesn't matter what it is, I love out of bounds stuff and halo tricks,
I don't see how this video is much different from his other stuff

I love the Space Flight Simulator background music
It maybe the Mandela effect. But I could have sworn Ive gone in that room in normal gameplay
I was just a wee lad at grandmamas house when I played it. Everyone was asleep…. Scary stuff

Schrodingers elite only exists if you watch the cutscene
Mom, dad, he gave it a shot!!!
I left after 5 minutes of hitting a turret. Dude time laps
Dawg I make these into 60 second shorts every week, I don’t know how much easier I can make it for you
Alas, poor Arbiter! I knew him . . .
I’ve been wanting you to do more combat evolved
you can tell he doesn't play this game the way he uses the magnum, a gun with one of the slower melee speeds, to move the turret
I would like to see more CE content. Probably my favorite in the series because of nostalgia goggles
i could only play the campaign up to this level when i was a kid, my computer would crash rendering the flood🤣
Halo the Mona Lisa Animated Comic. Watch it. You'll see what happened on the Mona Lisa and Why those Elites were Disemboweled.
Those are deffy called Shade turrets my guy lol
Yeah the OG flood are 2000s nightmare fuel
