Didi on an average in nlus tier one college the average salary is more than 25 to 30 lakh per annum in tier 1 firms in india and why these lawyers are not earning less 10k because in which law school they graduated are very vulnerable colleges which are not nlus similarly like private engineering college in top law school students are getting different types of skill and research and they are high paid very high amount 70 percent lawyers are not known the refined english and drafting . I will challenge you that give any students those studies from 24 nlus any of one who is unemployed and earning very less amount I am clat aspirant and I am in class 12

My perspective as a junior Practising Advocate.
    1. Most of the lawyers don't have requisite skills, they don't know how to read and write properly.
    2. 16 lakhs Advocates are there because there are many sub standard private colleges, you give them money they will give you a degree.
    3. Juniors are not paid because they don't put efforts in the practise, they do clerical work they don't have zeal to understand the real law.
    4. There are various smart lawyers who are making money just after 2-3 years.
    5. Litigation is not the only option after law degree, go for other fields also.

    • @nihalgupta725
      @nihalgupta725 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

Govt has to take care of these. Let govt make books cheaper and provide resources to lawyers. Because for getting one chamber lawyer has to pay in lakhs. Nd forget about the resources required.
Now govt does what? Nothing, they don't provide Indians with good clgs, because of which lawyers need to train outside. Then everything is so costly today, even a property agent who just shows u 5 property asks for 1 month rent as fees, and u think someone who has studied years just to fight cases will do it in cheap?
      How is it justified.
Until a lawyer is settled they end up loosing millions, materials which go into this profession is crazy costly. One one books costs in thousands, getting hundreds of printouts everyday costs a lot, then reading so much, investing youth life to study all the time. Everything is difficult.
If govt can help lawyers then maybe something can happen. Because currently interns who r crazy smart, who even clear judiciary exams in 1 go, even they aren't paid 5k for drafting hundreds of things. Imagine the amounts of sufferings. U know how much studies is needed to draft these things? Probably 10-20k pages u need to read to be able to do this.

You told the absolute truth. Myself as a first generation lawyer absolutely agree with what you're saying. I got to know about this low pay aspect during internship days. Seeing the pathetic remuneration in litigation, I didn't join litigation. Later I realised in corporate sector there's good pay scale but you couldn't work there for long term due to bad working hours plus zero job security. Judiciary, I am not a great fan of.
Hence, the only option left before me is teaching. Currently I'm pursuing PG and hoping to join academics by clearing UGC NET exam

As a practicing advocate I saw your video with interest. Some of what you said does not reflect the real picture. The minimum age a person can become an advocate is 23 or 24 years, not 27.
Unless a young advocate is well-connected with relatives already in the field he or she struggles for 4-5 years, if practicing on the criminal side and 7-8 years if practicing on the civil side. No minimum period of experience is required to practice or to appear before the high court or the Supreme Court.
A fresher can appear in High Court from day one of his entering the profession. He or she can also appear from the very first day in the Supreme Court though only upon instructions of an advocate on record.
Once an advocate establishes a practice he or she is assured of steady if not ever growing flow of work which continues till death or as long as he wants. Those with more experience tend to earn more. All do not make fortunes but most are comfortably well off. There is no compulsory retirement age. I have seen advocates in their 70s and 80s arguing regularly in courts. They are heard with respect because of their experience and knowledge. The judges before whom they appear are much younger.
There are always a few advocates who discontinue after a few years and take a job or start some business. It is nothing new about it.

My father is an advocate in civil court with 24+ years of practice and doesn't work under anyone but still manages to earn roughly 15k - 20 per month.
In a frustration related to his earnings, one day when my mother discussed this topic with him at that time he said - "It is easily possible for him to earn 80k- 1lakh per month and his group advocates (friends) have a daily practice of what he earns in a month."
Upon stressing on this topic he ragely says - "Kisi ko loot kar laya gaya dhan kabhi sukh nahi deta aur main bhi chahun then 5 rupee ka (stamp) 500 rupee ka bata sakta hun".
But in my opinion no one in this world is 100% honest and with this mentality he will never be able to earn like others.
Nonetheless, when I will become capable then surely will not go for an ideally honest body but yes I will never loose my honesty or sanskar that I learnt from my father.

Advocacy is a very stressful profession and at the beginning, earnings for a junior advocate are either nil or very meagre. Judges shout and abuse junior advocates in court as if they are not human beings. Junior advocates don't even get a place to sit in court. There are bar associations in every court but only the experienced advocates who have put in at least 10 years in practice get a place to sit. Overall the situation is very tough for junior Advocates in the beginning years. That is why most students passing from national law institutes prefer to join law firms or prepare for the judicial service exam. Very few students from top notch law colleges end up joining litigation as a practicing advocate. As a junior advocate gains experience and knowledge his earnings increase but it is a slow and time-consuming process that takes at least 5 years. In short, a junior advocate has to face abuse insults and a huge workload in the initial years for little to no remuneration only after he crosses this stage he will start earning something meaningful.

Hi Nikita, I recently finished reading your book Her History, and I must say it left a lasting impression on me. The way you’ve brought to light the untold stories of women from different eras is both inspiring and eye-opening. Your narrative style is engaging, and the depth of research is truly commendable.
What stood out to me the most is how you’ve seamlessly highlighted the struggles and triumphs of women, making the book not just a historical account but also a source of empowerment. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we still need to go.
I believe this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the pivotal role of women in shaping our world. Thank you for writing such a meaningful and impactful book!

Cannot compare both, because becoming a doctor in India is still not very easy. When degrees e given free of cost, the cost absent being hardwork then salaries go down. Like engineering, nd now llb graduates.
Becoming a doctor is still not very easy, so they still earn well.
And 15-20 k isn't even the earning of 50% advocates in Delhi. A fresher who has a bar license isn't even paid 5k for travelling. And this is the condition of Delhi I'm talking about where u have the best scope for lawyers.
Also clients of both r different, when someone gets ill they don't have a choice, when someone has a legal issue, many ppl avoid courts because of which lawyers don't have enough clients. Also doctors manage personal fees issues only when they have a clinic, which is a big deal in itself, nd rest of the doctors just provide the services, they don't need to sit at reception nd beg for fees. In legal field most have to deal with fees themselves, they don't have a receptionist or a system, it's a private thing for them. Again negotiations happen, most don't even pay. Nd lawyers half time goes begging their clients for fees. Nd sometimes the fees is for such mandatory stuff, but yet they don't pay. Like the papers drafted by an intern, who's working at the office, clients don't pay for it. Comprising the intern's earnings, even if it was few bucks.

My father is a advocate, so I understand how hard this profession can be. In 2006, the year I was born, he earned just 20 rupees. It’s incredibly difficult to survive as a lawyer in India, especially in district courts. Now, he’s also involved in bar association politics, which adds to the challenges.
In our state and city, the caste system makes things even harder for us. As a single child, I’ve witnessed the struggles firsthand-I’ve even experienced starvation. Life as a lawyer is tough, and it affects not just the lawyer but their entire family.
To all the upcoming lawyers: please give it your best. Work hard, speak up for justice, and strive to make a difference-not just for yourself but for the people around you. Many families suffer when justice is overlooked or delayed.
I’m 19, and I still see my father struggling in court. It’s not easy, but I hope you can bring change and live a fulfilling life while keeping your loved ones happy.....🙌🏼i am seeing struggling phase since 19 years now ...there is no change it just your hardwork ...

More power to you for raising this issue. The thing is Supreme Court and Bar Council of India should introduce minimum wage law as a criteria for per date fees. That's why after finishing with my llb, I started pursuing mba. Cause this is the dark reality of lawyers that hardly one talks about. I don't feel that change is going to be there any time soon. Sadly we are taught like its a professional service not meant for receiving money. So one should not look for monetary incentives as it is a noble profession. So what's the point of being in the noble profession if it's not gonna pay my bills and even sometimes hard to fulfill the basic human needs.

I agree to you Miss Nikita. Mai khud ek teacher hu aur apne students ko bhi yahi baat bolta hu ki kisi bhi field mein jo top par baithe hue log hain wo hi sufficient level se aage earning karte hain. Otherwise baaki saare sirf strugglers hi hote hain.
Mai ye baat unhein isiliye bolta hoon kyonki meri class mein mostly students ko TH-camr ya social Media influencer ban kar earning karni hai. Mai unhein samjhata hu ki jo log TH-cam par aaj famous hain unhone bahut time pehle start kiya tha but aaj unke liye bhi relevant rehna bahut challenging hai. For example :- Sandeep Maheshwari (29M subscribers) se upar nahin badh rahe hain kyonki aaj har koi motivational speaker banne mein laga hua hai. BB ki vines , Ashish Chanchalani etc. aaj kisi bhi field mein relevant rehna bahut difficult hai. But aapko ye samajhna hoga ki their is no relation between wisdom and wealth. But wo ye baat samajhne ko taiyaar hi nahin hote hain.
    Anyways Nice video.😊

I'm an advocate and would like to heartily thank you for this video🙏🏻🙏🏻
So some corrections in your facts.
After 12th, I completed my 5 year course at age 23. So bcom person can also do it by max 25.
AIBE is open book and very easy to clear exam so no preparation and extra time is required.
Although the salary is low, but a junior can take independent case as a fresher as well.
I'm not from a reputed college and in corporate laws since 6 years. As all companies want a lawyer to check thier agreement and other work. Normal corporate companies are open to hire lawyers for decent starting packages of 3 LPA.
By age of 40 normal corporate lawyer can also 20 LPA easily.
All in all, in litigation it is tough for initial few years, but a smart advocate or a corporate lawyer can find ethical and legal ways to earn well by he/she is 30 years old.

Skills if not getting converted into even few bucks of returns then hope is lost
Making connections work when things r almost towards settlement. The real struggle is when person is struggling, what are the available recourses to him, is anyone there to help? The system, the govt or the seniors? When no help is provided, justice system gets corrupted, not corrupted of bribes as such, but corrupt of a mentality which creates issues for ones visiting the courts for justice.
Because just imagine a junior who hasn't even been paid for travelling charges despite making efforts to let his senior make in thousands nd lakhs over the years. What he will do after settlement? He will become his senior 🤕 then clients will say he's charging a lot. But nobody will see he was denied travelling charges after giving so much.
