Syntac, when your in the snow levelling creatures, it may be an idea to put your tek helmet on too, as a full set of tek armour provides that insulation buff. Yes, I know people don't like that helmet overlay thing, but if your in third person it doesn't show anyway.
i named my giga The Garden Gnome as it just sits and look pretty at my base. so i suggest calling it the Flamingo (not sure if that is spelled correctly.)
Funny timing, I just tamed my first giga (solo pve) last night in the exact a same spot. I agree, a completely useless PvE dino, but fun to do anyway - 4 gates, a bear trap and spare underwear XD And yeah, something's definitely screwy with spawns, I never see any Griffins or Spinos.
Syntac maybe next season you and the guys can have friendly base raids, like you can save the server before the raids and the back the server up to that save before the raid after the raid is done :D Just an idea

Big tribes use gigas for meat because they have tons of animals that require it. The bore thing for example saws through loads of meat and that’s just him alone. It counting Petra’s, Rex’s, a quetz and, many other things.
Maybe something like a "challenge roar" where if you roar all creatures will attack you in the vicinity even non aggressive ones and Banshee for the name (Irish mythology who heralds the death of a family member, usually by shrieking or keening.) wikipedia
Easiest way to tame these boys is making a square with a behemoth on the one side and the other sides with 3 dino gates per side. Switch the opened time of the behemoth to 10sec and just fly through it with the Giga behind you. 1 Behemoth Gateway, 1 Behemoth Gate, 9 Dino Gates.
You can try the unnerfed giga mod. It doesn't replace Gigas, but adds a giga that replaces them and does get nerfed to fleep. And also gives better post tame levels. You would have to get a new giga though.
A Giga is almost perfect for Pvpve with no friendly fire, i have 6 giga’s in my base on wander and they are a great defense but you need a base were they can’t just shoot the giga’s from a distance.
