Awesome pages!! I’ve let my kerby pages get lonely recently but you’ve given me some inspiration here! Awesome pages. Right away when I saw the owl page I was like “YES!! 🙌 I LOVEEEE! Fav page, hands down.” BUT… after seeing all your pages I can’t even pick a fav. So great!
@ I’ve personally been in a bit of a coloring slump since prob September or October. I really can’t explain why either. It’s just happening unfortunately. But before this slump, I was focusing on other books. When fairytales and folklore finally arrived, I dove strictly into that. Right before that, I was working on her other book to get myself back into her style. Before that I would work in all sorts of books that I have, BUT, I was strictly kerby for a long time bc I felt unchallenged by other books until I was just sick of the same 5 books or so that I have. I will get back into it and soon. And youve inspired me to start with kerby. Over the weekend I was playing with some mediums I have let get lonely so I’m certainly making my way THANK GOODNESS!!!
@ those slumps definitely do happen. It’s probably better to take a break altogether to give your creativity a chance to reset. I was heading towards slump land in October but I pushed through anyways - conséquence - i didn’t really enjoy coloring that month. Glad you’re feeling inspired again though - have fun with Kerby and the new mediums you got! PS how’s Fairytales? Do you recommend it?
@ thank you!! I remember you talking about your experience with the slump! And you ended up turning it right around and coming out even BETTER! I absolutely 1,000% recommend fairytales. I would get that one over fairytales and folklore actually, at least to start. Oberg’s style is something I had to kind of reinvent my own coloring style with, but in a good way! Plus her first book is cheaper and I personally like the paper better. If you’re looking for something different to get into I would def check it out!!

haha I'm glad you like walking 😂 I'm halfway through another color along by the way - the accompanying castle page to the vignettes. Then hopefully the dragons once I get over my art block :)
