The site is the Trust's largest freehold nature reserve and its fields are part of an ancient landscape, spanning the Thames and shaped by centuries of farming, full of wild flowers in spring and summer, and birdlife later in the year.

In addition to this, I can personally vouch for the flagship farmland habitats which adjoin Chimney Meadows, which are rammed with wildlife. Led by passionate individuals who manage the land nearby just as effectively as BBOWT does.
That is uplifting to hear. I look forward to going there next year.
