Beutiful voice. I prefer the covers after 1:24 🤓

Me too. The earlier ones had an outdated kind of 1950s to mid-60s presentation. From that album onwards though they have a modern 1970s presentation, they look and feel more like proper albums. For me, that was the real peak period of her music too (1972-73, from "When This Night Passes" through to "Regret" albums), but I like all the different stages.

@@Ruby_Kang yeah. From what I heard from your posts I prefer her later stuff... feels more like her and her voice. Also really dislike the album cover at 1:12 ...

@@mcprevec Here's my pick for the standout albums:
      Stereo Hit Album No.2 (1970)
Comeback Recital (1972) [live in TV studio]
Why Won't You Come? (Kim Hee Gap composition collection) (1973)
Regret (Shin Joong Hyun composition collection) (1973)
KIM CHOO JA & BLACK BUTTERFLY - My Tender Heart (1975)
'78 KIM CHOO JA Recital (1980) [live]
      Comeback (1988)
Golden Hit Song Collection (1993) [Golden Greatest Hits (1989)] [80s remakes]
Links to hear the first 4 are in the description notes under the "On My Way" album video.
English song titles are listed in the "On My Way" description notes.
EDIT: I've now added those albums to the bottom of the Korean albums playlist with a few more (videos uploaded by other youtubers).

@@Ruby_Kang Thank you sensei (wjat is the Korean equivalent?). Am checking it out as soon as I have some me time...
I had a youtube suggestion yesterday of a Korean dj that had an interesting mix of korean city pop of the 80s-90s. ANNDJ is her name...perhaps you will like her.

@@mcprevec Thanks for the DJ recommendation and link. I'm going away for the week (spending some quality time with my mum out in the sticks, so no internet) but I've bookmarked her channel and will check it out properly when I return. The Korean equivalent of sensei is seonsaengnim / seon-saeng-nim (선생님). It means 'teacher' but is also used in the broad sense of the word, same as sensei.
