- Skoda's 2020 model year update for its small mid-size SUV brings with it an all-new sporty variant. Should you consider it over its many rivals?

I’ve had the Karoq 2020 since Jan and love every minute of driving it. I get 6.1l/100. Quality features all over!
Great review. I test drove the Sportline last week and bought one! Can't wait!
The sunroof is a $1,900 separate option (which I avoided).
Considering one. Choosing between base Q2/X1 or fully loaded 140 Karoq. Thoughts?
I test drove this exact mode few days ago and it had a sunroof, might want to double check with Skoda AU
What did you think? Good and bad points?
Not available .Visited both Sckodas web site and 2 dealers , I bought one today and no, after lots of pleading - no sunroof and no leather seats etc.
@@mototune5797 late reply, pros has a dual character, sporty and relaxing. Seats are outstanding, comfy and makes you hate leather seats forever. Cons too small if you need two car seats installed , no middle seat room for 3 adults in 2nd row and cramped seating if you're behind driver over 6' . No 40/20/40 split seats or variflex seats if you go with sportline, and manual seat adjustment in sportline (crap with 2 drivers of different heights, no memory seats)
@@koinsydney IT is possible to order a Sportline with leather seats and sunroof - I just ordered one.
@@warbyghost Do'h.Thanks for the info buuuut I had mine now for 8 mths . Great car, although I'm a little bit envious of you : )
You can now get leather, electric memory seats as an option. They aren't the sporty bucket seats though and it's quite an expensive option at around $3k AUD.
I can't see the Karoq sportline on the website.
I got the base car with all the extras because I wanted leather seats and vario flex.
Cool story bro 😎
Does this model have a PPF fitted? Long term running costs would be crazy expensive if it ever needs to be replaced and isn't covered by warranty. I'd be inclined to wait a few years and see how these new models and their PPFs cope with our 95 grade fuel.
Pleased you put as tested fuel economy rather than the claimed one, shows how far out the true fuel consumption is.
Looks good without the plastic cladding
Koroq Sportline vs Forester s ? Your thoughts or opinions as to which is better please @carsguide
The Karoq is a lot, lot quieter!!!
@@thecaptain7976 sadly stuff all stock if any of the Sportline in Australia
£34,000 RRP for that model, Skoda is no longer "cheap". That's a lot considering a Tesla Model 3 can be had for £42,000.
This is an Australian video. Pricing in $ AUD. A Tesla 3 is a lot more $$$ here. Skoda is extremely well priced and very competitive in Australia v the competition.
Bad puns get you a like. I even turned off my ad-blocker and ran the video all the way through. Didn't watch it though - lost concentration before the 2 minutes of ads finished.
What you save when you buy it, you lose when you sell it. A huge cost is high depreciation. Must be figured into any purchase. Then again if your watching this you have done your homework.
That is not correct. I have owned a Skoda Octavia for over 6 years and 100,000 km. I still got a great trade in allowance on my new Karoq (over 50% of purchase cost).
@@warbyghost You proved me wrong. Must be happy to go back to same brand.
Lets hope its better than the scout ive had one 6 months itsbeen off theroad for 5 months either being repaired waiting for repair waiting for parts or the best 6 days at the side of the road waiting to be recovered. Whlie its beenin the garage its been in an accident got a parking ticket both of which the garage refused to pay .the last timeit broke down the garage said claim off your insurance by that i think they mean set it on fire never deal with asian garages
It would appear that u have a used vehicle. How old. How many km’s. What service history and condition etc etc. How thoroughly did u check out this used vehicle before purchasing ? A used vehicle is always buyer beware.
