This was written by Jimi Bell, who didn't get credit where credit was due on the Black Sabbath album Dehumanizer. Shame on Geezer for not giving credit to a fellow musician.
@@richardhincemon9423 from wikipedia: 'Jimi Bell, the guitarist with Butler's band actually wrote the song. Geezer promised a credit and payment, but Jimi never was paid or credited for his contributions.[15]'
This is actually better than the Dehumanizer version! I like that awsome drumming and slower tempo fits well.. Now I know the song was originally written by Jimi Bell. Thank you for the information Skeleton Lake! Man who made the music should be mentioned in credits atleast! I think Geezer also is much more important part of Sabbath than ever credited.
Jimi Bell wrote the music. So Geezer was playing his riff etc that he made. It's a great song I'm not sure who wrote the lyrics, if it was geezer or not - but Sabbath basically covered the song and gave no writing credit or money to the guy that wrote it. They did that with Craig Cruber as well who wrote the main song part of Die Young. But I think Craig mighta got some cash.
Yes, pretty close to the "Dehumanizer" version. If somebody outside wrote it, he should have been credited - but I've seen one such claim so far, by a guy who's not even on this recording. Anybody can say anything. By the way, Dio and Tony improved so much the vocals and the guitars that they made it almost like another song. By the way, Geezer's "Computer God" has nothing to do with Sabbath's.
The recording quality of this one is not as good as Dehumanizer; it's impossible to compare Dio and Sentence. Still I like this version more cause it's slower.
Geezer Butler is the soul of Black Sabbath

agreed!
AGREE. A killer song by JIMI BELL !
I love this version. A great song can be done many ways with Great Musicians!
Especially when it's written by Jimi Bell
Love the slower tempo on this version. Fantastic song.
I like this version much more. The solo sounds like Jimi Bell - the original writer who got his song robbed - played on it.
They pulled a "Sharon" on Jimi.
I find neither version better. They're just different. Great tune. \m/
Jimi Bell is pure genius.
it is a history of this fucking world.. Heavy Metal live!
Mas de 30 años y aun seguimos, que himno este eh?!
the evil sound of dio fits this riff + melody way better, but this song is so powerful anyways, that it is good even with a vocal which doesnt fit it!
doesnt fit* :/
Damn it this song is badass.
Hey Geezer, pay the man aleady
Geezer Butler is the world best Bass Guitarist in the world.
interesting version, somehow i like the slower tempo (and a gorgeous solo from Pedro Howse), also the drums are cool
GEEZER BUTEL BASS Guitar of god!!🎸🥰
Wow, that was awesome!
Impresionante documentos
Remind me something Loudness could have done later on. Sounds a little like Nihara.
Badass.
I love the Dehumanizer version, but it was wrong of Tony Iommi not to credit the writers of this track.
Geezer wrote the song

Funny how Tony is 'responsible' for Sabbath sound.
Interesting take...But cough fart and sniff...Dio Iommi version much more authentic musically and more !!!!
funny guy
I agree
whos Pedro. Not Jimi Bell??
80's
The guitar solo looks like Yngwie Malmsteen' solo
I prefer Dehumanizer version...
Impressive

Is this a demo or was it released by Geezer?
Demo
Máster of insanity wouldn't exist if this was a released song
Carl Sentance sounds different here.
this sounds more like Black Sabbath than the dehumanizer
I always thought this song sounds like something from from eternal idols but a bit heavier
So this is not a Dio song?
A couple of songs from Dehumanizer are taken from Geezer Butler's band
no way

@@andrejz8954 Computer God is also technically a Geezer Butler band song but the version on Dehumanizer is entirely different.

Great rendition. I've never heard it before. Makes me wish my ex-wife didn't have my copy of GZR

A Jimi Bell tune that he was robbed of the credit by chikenshits.

geneticrex Is this Jimi Bell? It sounds like him. I bet it is
I don't think he's on this recording, but I could ask him next time I see him.
that's the industry for ya
Dio sang it better.
Aside from the solo, The Sabbath version is better. That being said, It's probably the weakest song off Dehumanizer.
