The fact that you show a different example of "if it's too noisy" in every video is a nice touch - cracked at smile at that. The format and rigour are much appreciated. Well done, sir.
I discovered your channel via the Verge's reporting and I am sitting in-front of my PC with a cup of coffee here in Germany trying to figure my best option to improve the air quality in a ~20m² room that is close to a very busy road. Probably not this one, but nevertheless a fascinating concept!
Wow I’m glad you found your way to us! I assume it was the story about Google killing our site? I would look at something a little bigger with 250ish cadr and you could run it in your smaller tool on speed 2 or 3. Happy answer more questions I private if you prefer: danny@housefresh.com
I have one of these and two double exhalarons in my apartment. I was looking for something small for the bedside locker in my bedroom, so I ordered a triple exhalaron. That turned out to be too big, so I ordered two double exhalarons, one for each bedside locker and I have this on my kitchen table instead. Costed an arm and a leg ordering to Ireland, but space was an issue, so I was looking for a tabletop device and I also have the portability as well.
I have it about 3 months with continuous use and still working. Outside needs to be wiped sometimes but other than that no issue. And barely no noise. I don't even know it's on if I'm watching TV and I can sleep just fine as well with both of them on my bedside locker. Absolutely love these devices.
I made one in 2019 with Sunon MagLevs, ppl/brands should try that brand out. Super silent and don't need a lot of maintenance. It ran continuously for 2 years without any issue (after which I used the fans in a different project)
Interesting will check out that brand of fans as I haven’t heard them before. I think it would be fun to see what happens when swapping with lots of different fan models.
Hey, could you do philips 4000i? It should be the equivalent of Levoit EverestAir. I'm undecided between the 2 since these 2 are pretty much the best choices in my country. Levoit still advertises as TRUE HEPA in my country when they clearly are not, raises concerns.
Hey, @@HouseFresh, thanks. Btw I meant the new PureProtect series, either 3200 or 4200. They are way quieter than the 3000i/4000i and they were released just a few months ago! They also consume way less energy than the previous model. Should be topping your charts on sound and power consumption
why don't you just put a comparison chart on your website where we can select the devices we want to compare. The comparisons you make in the video's are often not the comparison's we're looking for.

Thank you - all credit to our editors Mauro and Rodrigo! They do amazing work.
Yet another fantastic in depth review.
Glad you enjoyed it

Yeah I bet price was a lot for Ireland delivery and for two double exhalarons. I do love how portable they are, hope yours are working well for you .

@@gbfan6941 The quiet running is incredible and great for a bedroom situation.

(sunon maglev fans, I chose them coz they are cheaper than the competition)

please test the IKEA Air purifier FÖRNUFTIG :)
On it !
I'm curious what the numbers are on the two fan version. Since these can run off battery banks, I wonder if car trips are a good use for them.
The smaller runs at 92 cfm va the 130 cfm for the triple option. I think in car use could be great for this design.
What’s your opinion on the FÖRNUFTIG purifier from IKEA?
I found it a little underpowered but will be putting out a full review soon!
Would be interesting in testing portables in a car. No idea what controls you’d have but it’s an interesting application.
This is something I want to do. Both to test portable devices like but also test how well different car filters can work for outside pollutants.

Yes will look at getting to this one in 2025! Thanks for letting me know you’re interested.

Also 2 carbon layers in the 4200
Cool Ill add the 4200 to the list as it does sound very interesting and I'm glad Philips are pushing new products in this category.
@@HouseFreshAmazing, thank you. Can't wait the review on it.

Fair point and something we hope to release in 2025 but we are working on it.
