    Can you rename the backup to something else instead of that gibberish it creates and then when you import it back will that have any erroneous effects ?

    This might be a stupid question, but how is this superior to copy-pasting (literally) the GroupPolicy folder form System32? I'm using LTSC, so I don't think GP Management is even available here.

      I guess it is not any different. But, this is way more centralized. When you have more than 10 GPOs this is way better than going one by one.

    Does this work if you are trying to back up to a different domain?

      I know your question was six months old, but in case others find this later, yes. We just successfully imported a GPO to another domain.

      You did watch the hole video, did you? It isn't even 3 minutes long. The import is shown in the first 1.5 minuten. It's really hard to overlook...
