James, he has a class every day. The early one is M-W-F, at 930. You need to work from home then. T-Th is the one at 3, you've an hour between that and work. Edit: You still get promotions when you work from home, too.
Livin In Sim Yes, and he will get paid the next day with a notification saying something like his boss was happy with his work and he earned §*insert number here*. Adding this so if James reads it and does it, he won’t freak out at not getting paid the same day 🙂
Had anyone else found that their sims will use any excuse to bike? I know James has had a few weird moments... my sim legit biked herself into the hospital and into the delivery room when she was in labour
Yes, apparently the routing system for cycling still needs some adjustments. But this also happened with my spellcaster Sims and their brooms to some extent.. I think not many people will notice these things immediately simply because following the Sims to the hospital is quite repetitive and I assume most simmers don't do it for each birth.
My Sim was hanging out with a friend that said they would go to a "park" but it was actually a residential house with a few people that are unplayed. I didn't have to knock on door, and when the time of "Hanging out with friends" ended, he BIKED INSIDE THE HOUSE and went home.

I think you should have kept his coffee job and focused on tutoring, research and robotics. Military doesn't line up with anything that you've designed for his character
There are military positions that do need psych.... like undercover work, interrogation, intelligence, and there are of course mental health jobs in the military.

It's the Manual Laborer Job. It's Sat and Sun from 7-noon. You start out at 45, so pays pretty good. I was pulling in $700 a weekend with a couple promotions, with rewards of 200-300.
Kinda torn as I love Elsa, too, but I don’t want Bob to do a quickie like he’s doing with all other hookups😂. I’d love to see them married, or at least a committed couple with kids. I agree about the blond, too, Livin’ in Sim! They have a solid friendship and seem to try to interact autonomously. I like the idea of naming a kid of theirs Zen.

Andromeda I’ve tried using the subtitles a few times on James’ videos, too. They are so far off at times, and usually in hilarious ways, it becomes its own entertainment!
Trash got a C+ on one of her classes because you missed a day of it because of a holiday. If you don't care about them anyway, I'd just cancel them as soon as they start to hopefully make sure your sims go to class/work normally
It's also an option to make holidays NOT interfere with school and work by unchecking the box that says day off school/work (indont play in English, but it's probably sth like that) .. but you can make the Sims go to classes manually on regular holidays anyway. Just have to pay attention to their schedule more closely than James, .. But I actually think he knows these things and just wants some potential for "drama" ;)
Honestly he set up all these holidays during Seasons Let's Play just to play around with them. I think he should modify the holiday schedule because especially around one time of year, there's way too many!
They "fixed" that deal where their needs are filled when they go to class in today's patch. I know you'll be sad about it! They also fixed the bug where sims who didn't cheat in class were accused of cheating. I wish they'd fixed the bug where store & restaurant owners get accused of stealing when a klepto steals from THEM! It's such an awful bug. It came with the Get Famous patch. Not only does your sim lose money from kleptos stealing from them, but all their friends call and say not to ever come to their house again since you like to steal. And then the shop or restaurant owner's reputation TANKS. It's REALLY annoying. Nothing but crickets from EA about that one though. :P
the military career thing actually happens irl! I've had a few uni friends who got scholarships/traineeships with the AU department of defence where they worked in the department as part of their studies, so maybe Bob Bigwallet is doing the same with psychology?
It would be really cool if night class options were available, so then the sim could have a full time job then do their classes in the evening/night time.
Since you’re using lilSimsie’s buildings, she made a student bar/dance club to replace one of the residence houses, and it has some workout equipment in the basement. It has a Britechester vibe, though.
Also I think the Sims team should consider that thing with sims not riding bikes in designed way a bug. They did those pathways without stairs for bikes, so I really hope they will try and make Sims go that way when they're riding bikes, because there really is no other way to be on time for classes when you live in this student housing building. Also they should make them jog when the arrive for classes early interaction is on.
James, gonna give you a heads up for the error when the sim that graduate uni will have a relationship bug with the other sim doing uni (in this case bob will have a relationship bug with trash). It always happen with any household in my game.
Do you mean the university taunting? I haven't seen anything else mess with uni students/graduates relationships.. (also, parents tend to scold their children for cheating even if they certainly did not cheat). There is a mod to disable the autonomous uni taunting (which actually happened for my Sims even when they were attending the same uni, perhaps because they went for second degrees, not sure)
@@organicstorm No. it's not about the taunting. the relationship bug will give you an error message everytime you try and play 1 of the household after graduation (ex : bob graduate and move out from uni, bob's household have a chance to be unplayable and give a long error message) .
Holidays, delete 'em! Except maybe a couple "bigger" ones that may be fun to take them home for, at the most, but - if in your LP the sims don't actually give a damn about the holidays, why deal with them getting sad about something they don't actually care about simply bc sim society deemed some day a _holiday_ . Delete 'em from the calendar for now (maybe take note of when they are to put back later for the save file) and let them go on with their lives. LOL Also, poor Bob.. Here in the US, we have a program called ROTC, or Reserve Officer Training Corps. In exchange for tuition coverage in college, you join the US Armed Forces to learn to become an officer. It's kinda what Bob is doing now- enlisting to help pay for college!

The Psychology courses in this game all have funny names, but they're legitimately based on things that we learn about (Eg. 'Marvelous Mr Maslow' being based on the psychologist who created the 'Hierarchy of human needs'). I'm impressed by EA's attention to detail!
The game doesn't know that it's grass. It only knows the action is to shoot around, and it wants to do it where the cooler and tent are. So it keeps picking the closest spot to that from where they are, because the basketball hoop is already weird with where "shoot around" is located, even without objects nearby. I kind of gave up on the basketball hoop in one house because the game was placing them in weird locations. So I feel ya on that frustration. Unless you have a court devoted just to the hoop without anything else, they're just weird and frustrating.
In the education career, your Sim can work from home as well. I have my Sim that did the psychology degree and is a professor now, and works from home since she gave birth to twins. The father has been taking classes and has a part-time in the construction job.
You could always build a retail shop to put in town that sells basics for University. If you put the cheaper laptops there then you wouldn't be cheating the uni system they set up and it would be easier to get more items you wants them to purchase.
The buffer for A+ appears to be under 10 minutes late. So the first time Trash and Bob went to the building, Trash was counted as punctual as she disappeared into the building on the 8th minute. But Bob was late. That's why the notification said Bob only did enough for a decent grade.

For the one who isn't at the commons when there is free food or if you forget, get a plate and put it in your inventory and then go home and give it to the other sim, more filling meal then a quick meal, plus its free! I wonder if you could put it in the mini fridge to last longer? Maybe grab a few plates of free food?
Don’t forget that if you want focus moodlet you can go to the city and grab a few posters, they’re all focusing (and will fit in well in a dorm room/group housing)

The buffer for A+ appears to be under 10 minutes late. So the first time Trash and Bob went to the building, Trash was counted as punctual as she disappeared into the building on the 8th minute. But Bob was late. That's why the notification said Bob only did enough for a decent grade.

I wonder if you could put it in the mini fridge to last longer? Maybe grab a few plates of free food?

I swear, sims really love to swarm you when you're trying to get stuff done, lol. When I have my sims go to the commons to do their term papers and presentations, as soon as they begin like 500 sims come to talk to them
