Pen+gear is Walmart brand. I graduated in 2018. I’ve recently had to take a mental health leave from work and your videos have helped me. I’ve watched almost all your video since I found you in lockdown. I hope you’re having a great week. Thank you for being you.
I graduated high school and college in the 80’s. My generation watched movies at school using the good ole movie projector and film reel. We watched slideshows on a slide projector and if the teacher/professor didn’t write on the chalk board, they used the overhead projector. Oh….and research papers were done by going to the card catalog in the library to find the needed books for information sources and then typed using a typewriter double spaced, of course. And if you had an electric typewriter you were winning! 😂 Nowadays, google and computers have made research paper writing so much easier!
My son''s school did that too. When we went to meet the teacher night most of his classmates had bought cheaper school supplies(which is what I would have done but they stressed certain names, sizes and counts. Some I had to order and pay more for). Well, call me petty, but when I found out we had to mix all the school supplies together with everybody else's,I broke out my Sharpie and labeled all my son's stuff right there. He really wanted some of his supplies because he picked them out himself.
Oh My God!!!! The temptation to buy it all... All of it... You are so good just showing us around. I would have been like 'I want this, I want that, I want it all...'
If you go to Meijer their school supplies are on sale. My granddaughter is only 2 so I stock up so she always has enough to color with and it's cheaper than paying full price
First time junior high mom and her art class is kneadable eraser and different B type pencils and 50 plus page protectors. Gotta carry like 3 different binders and most classes want their own Zipper pencil pouches. It's definitely changed since my junior high days.
I graduated 2013 but I do remember the overhead projectors! And that one massive tv they would wheel into the room! I also love using thick pens! Especially after I was a notary for six years the thick tipped pens are way better My son is only seven months but I’m so obsessed with back to school things I’m so excited to buy things for him but also so not ready for him to be in school!
I have always enjoyed going back to school shopping. It was just a great feeling getting new school supplies and clothes/shoes for school until the year was over. 😂❤ I have always been a planner kind of girl and I enjoyed writing down assignments for school and important dates in one. ❤ I am more of a mechanical pencil kind of girl. I graduated high school in 2018 and I graduated college in 2022. I’m not doing any school supplying anytime soon unless I decide to go back to college because I don’t have any kids yet.
I always wanted the 64 pack of crayons with the sharpener built into the box. . . . As an adult. I have a pair of scissors in my knitting supplies, one in my sewing box, one in the kitchen drawer, one in the garden supplies, one in my desk drawer, and a couple more in other locations. You can never have too many scissors.
That’s right - sharpener in the back. I had a box like that - I can’t say the sharpener was all that great. 🙁 Scissors - I’m thinking a few more would be good in my house, too!
I have a love of note books and gell pens and get new ones every year (mot that I need them) I just have to stay in uni but not sure what to do after this year as I'm about to finish my masters would it be to much to do a PhD just to keep with the back to school tradition of buying note books and gell pens. Haha
I mean… no. No, that’s not unreasonable. 😂😂😂 Congratulations on nearly finishing your masters!! That’s amazing. ❤️😊 probably all those gel pens and notebooks that got you through.
I’m dying at your locker combo dream. My school dream is that I’ve forgotten to go to school and I can’t remember my schedule but I never think to go to the office and ask 😂
I also have dreams that it's the first day of high school and I either can't find my locker, can't open it, don't know my class schedule, or all of the above lol. I graduated in 2011.
I changed the name! Here’s the video announcement - Announcement!! th-cam.com/video/aW2YKT6srqA/w-d-xo.html I also have a vlogging channel @ Meghan Birch
I have always loved stationary 😊
Trapper keepers definitely used to be bigger. It’s not a big difference but there is a difference

Wow. That’s amazing Kellie. ❤️ I’m so sorry things have been tough. Praying you continue to heal and feel stronger.
Hey Megan, I graduated in 1982 I'm old. Never got all the cute stuff for school, so I got them for my boy's they out of school now too.
I had a trapper keeper with the hot balloon on it, and I loved it
Sweet. ❤️
You are correct, Meghan, the trapper keepers were a lot larger in the day! Like 2.5 inches! I could fit everything in them.
Glad I could get some validation. The new ones seem a bit small.
My high school daughter loves the Gel Pens for school. I personally prefer the Whiteout Tape.

Times have changed. Crazy how different each generation has it.
I graduated in 1980. I love all the school supplies. We take our grandkids every year to get their school supplies, very nice trip.
That’s fantastic. Great memories! ❤️
Try the black Ticonderoga pencils with black erasers. I like them the best. The eraser is great! Tfs
I’ll keep an eye out for them!
Our public school request that we purchase namebrand school supplies so that we do not have to replace item(s) part way through the school year.

I definitely thought it A LOT!! I LOVE school supplies!
Love trapper keepers. I especially loved getting all of my Lisa Frank folders, etc.
Oh my - I LOVED Lisa Frank Stationary, pencils, erasers. We would trade them at school. I remember the cute little puppies.
If you go to Meijer their school supplies are on sale. My granddaughter is only 2 so I stock up so she always has enough to color with and it's cheaper than paying full price
Love your sense of humor and sensible suggestions as well! I’m subscribing to your channel. Thanks!
So glad you’re here!! 😊❤️
I graduated before most everyone here was born! I, too, still love school supplies! Great video! ❤
I can’t believe it is already back to school season for most. We homeschool and school all year round but I love the deals this time of year lol.
We do too! It’s so nice to get school supplies for a good price this time of year!
I love shopping with you Megan. Ty for taking me alone. I look forward to next time.
I’m so glad you come along with me!! 😊
