Akufo-Addo only acts on what benefits him privately. COVID cash inflows to Ghana hugely benefited him and his cronies, hence he was vocal. On the contrary, fighting galamsey would let him lose the illegal proceeds that flow into his pockets, and therefore would not dare fight galamsey.
