Wait Disney Animation Studio with a play control get quality is a video game🎮🕹 his puppet name in called "Pinocchio!" or real boy.
Journey through as Geppetto, the carpenter's live wooden puppet, Pinocchio, as he did in his Disney animated film which itself was based on a children's novel.
Have Pinocchio run, jump and twist-kick through all the familiar places, including the inside of a whale, and do good deeds enough to become the real human boy he's always wanted to be.
A standard Disney platformer.
I just felt a huge chunk of my childhood trauma getting nuked when I saw that happen!
We didn't see him die. He might have been eaten by Monstrous, or is floating somewhere in the ocean to this day (fat has buoyancy, so fat people will float).
@@Luispbringstheheat Almost as if they wanted to show that bad people aren't always going to be punished for your satisfaction like in real life.
In the first level I was like "damn why're all these people out for Pinocchio's blood just let him go to school!" but I guess I can't blame them when he's running around on roofs and breaking shit
In the real story Pinocchio was a menace and the people tried to kill him by hanging I believe.

Disney's Classic Games 2 should have this Pinocchio, Pocahontas, and The Jungle Book. (Have not played Pocahontas or The Jungle Book)
Back in 1990, Virgin made awesome Disney games... I remember The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Aladdin... I wish I had played this one as a child too. Vibrant colours and artwork, fluid animation and nice musics!
Virgin and Capcom made the best Disney video games.
I loved Aladdin and lion king. Never beat lion king as a kid though. Fun times after school with friends. I aswell never played this one as a kid. Beat it last night. Great easy game

Ah, so memorable game!
One of the latest games my family got me.
Since I loved trains and railroad so much - the roller coaster level was extraordinarily satisfying!
The game was pretty easy to beat. With levels were longer. Loved to wonder around the first level so much! Letting the cat hit himself with a flying boot was beyond funny!
P.S. the level with cliffs and shadow creatures was scary! They always freaked me out when they appear out of nowhere!

Interesting that Pinochio says "Ow" when he takes damage. Mickey also says that when taking damage in Mickey Mania and so does Woody in Toy Story

Snes was unplayable ,due smaller resolution therefore smaller field the second train stage was imposible to pass, missing stages and awful sound . Sega was far superior on all Virgin games.

At 37:05, when Geppetto falls in the water, you can let him alone and hide in the cavern, instead of help him.
But if you do it, screen turns into black and you hear Monstro coming...

I don't know, generally, we find everything in TH-cam 😉.
But this is "true story".
This fact is really vicious because during this level, hitboxs aren't clear, so when you succeed the level, you don't want to die in water. As a kid, i was in a state of stress...
But... you must do it.

I read last night that if you go don't go back to help Gepetto at that point and go left into the cave you get an instant death.

True. If you don't, screen fades to black, and you hear Monstro's grunt.
You must jump in the water to help Gepetto, in order to get the third medal "Unselfishness" from the Blue Fairy.

Fun fact - if you jump off the 2nd bump at the top when going down the track, and move all the way to the end of the screen to the right, you land right back in the cart. Neat little game trick :P .

Either way, good game although it is short and could have benefited from some more levels (like heck, have two Jiminy levels, one where you're on the wrecked Pleasure Island where he happens to come across the boys-turned-donkeys, and one where he dodges the seagulls by having to retreat into a bottle like what was shown in the film). I didn't even think Disney's Pinocchio (my favorite Disney classic) would translate into a game, but it does, I would have loved this game as a kid.
I was given this for my birthday from an auntie, £49.99. I remember completing it and half an hour and telling my mum I’d finished it. Thank god trade ins were a thing back then.

Good looking game for the Megadrive. But, with more colors and 3 scroll layers, the SNES-version looks better. Gameplay is the same on both!
I’m sorry but is there something wrong with me? How do you do the move at 12:57? I just rewatched the tutorial and it wasn’t on it. I’ve tried every button on the controller and can’t get it. Am I missing something?

So was this developed by Bit Managers or Virgin Studios London? Cause Bit Managers is a Spanish developer, so they can't be the same (like Probe being Acclaim London).
Probably both were involved along with Disney of course.

One Disney platformer I don't mind having missed, by the look of things.
The animations look nice, but that's the only positive I can give it.

I mean it's playable, but even the longplayer here sometimes doesn't know what to do.
I admit getting stuck sometimes. The manual actually tells you however what to do in each level. Manuals in video games don't lay out levels any more.

While a beautiful game to look at, I feel the level design follows the trend of a lot of western made games at the time, no clear idea where to go, maybe get lucky to eventually find your way to the end of a stage by trial and error. In other words, level design is messy as hell.
