    more please.. these photos reveal God's country! the rock formations fascinate me.. the people were tough as nails.. we have it too easy.. the pictures taken in Wyoming make me homesick for my Gramma.. thank you for taking the time to publish these beautiful pictures.. been contemplating my comment.. we take it too easy, we expect everything handed to us on a silver platter, including someone's head when we want something or things don't go our way. - one of my neighbors has a crab apple tree.. when they fall they fall in the area of the circumference of the tree and they stink when the city mowers come around and mash them-- truly the apples don't fall far from the tree.. but far enough to affect what's around them.. I've done 2 loads of laundry and made a pot of chicken chili and while I was thinkin about apples and silver platters, Styx's 'Too Much Time On My Hands' popped into my head.. Love and Peace come to us!!

    I love history. I travel all New Mexico and Arizona. My husband and I came across a Griffiti rock that dated to 1500's. I believe that could have been Oñate expeditions. We loved our vacation in New Mexico then stopped at petrified forest, meteor Crater and Grand Canyon on way back to California

    I enjoyed this. The picture of the Apache Indians by the train taking a break was actually a picture of Geronimo and his group along with others on their way to prison in Florida. Geronimo is slight right of center in forefront.

    The opening music in this video made the hairs on my neck stand up (Irish influence maybe?) My late wife and I enjoyed several coach tours of America, but one in particular stands out, and that was the area of the "Old West" as shown in the video.

      The opening music was an instrumental rendition of, "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms," which is an old gospel number that is sometimes heard in a lot of western movies.

    The boat in the Truckee River Nevada is almost identical to a Connecticut oyster harvesting sharpy. Whoever built it was obviously familiar with the New England style boats. They were simple boats, easy to build and ideal for on site construction. They were also good for very shallow water. They can be seen in Chapelle's book "Small American Sailing Craft".

    not surprised by the spanish inscription at all; often wondered if any will ever be found in Kansas near where they thought Quivera was purported to be located.Maybe they just left the old helmet for a reason.

    As a student of hidden history, that Spanish date is not 1526. The 1 is a European J & the rest is just the actual yr 526. The letter J is supposed to tell the number of yrs after the death of Jeshua. If one looks at the date, 18 of feb, one can see the 1 is diff from the j of the date. The J of Josep is identical to J526. We've basically been lied just about everything in our history.

    Beautiful pictures and history should be remembered and taught.....but it's a shame nearly every picture signifies the forceful greedy destructive nature of one creed and persecution and pillaging and robbery of another. Like the native indians,we did it to the Maoris and aborigines too. Why can't we learn to live alongside instead of wiping out others. ?

  • @frankebell2383
    @frankebell2383 ปีที่แล้ว

    The year 1526 plus 150 years would be 1676. Photography would not be invented for another 163 years in 1839, a year before the photographer Timothy O'Sullivan would be born in 1840! "Nearly 150 years ago" would be (as of this writing)1873 and 150 years before that would be 1723! Now, if he took the photo in 1873 then minus the year 1626. that is 347 years before O'Sullivan took the photo, not 150 years. Someone's arithmetic needs some work.

    Now wait a minute. Is this an experiment in how to annoy your viewers? First an unneeded computer voice and now attach a face with a computer-steered mouth to badly mimic the computer voice. Sorry, but we, and the pictures, can do without this stupid intro. The title of the video and the photos contained within don't need any kind of computer-generated voices and/or mouth-mimicking because the pictures speak for themselves. Cheerio.

    TomJeff was right too. Anyway, good boat info., as to the video, I thought it a brilliant arrangement, and the inscription looks a couple of centuries younger than it actually is, which I find to be amazing. The penmanship showed the obvious high level of education of the Basconzelos' clan at that time.

    I love watching old photos, the clothes, the new inventions which were a marvel in those days, how people were decently dressed and behaved..
    But one thing makes me wonder..
    If that O'Sullivan was there in 1867, ~150 years ago, but..."150 years prior to his visit" ..from 1526!??
    How on Earth do you calculate 🤯🤔🤨🥴..I'd say ~340 years prior, not 150
    Correct me if I'm correct 😂
