Yes, 2 weeks ago I finished a Transalp, from Germany to Lake Garda in Italy over the Dolomites. 470KM and nearly 14000 vertical meters in 7 days and amazing amazing amazing scenery. Not as wild as your Wales tour, but a lot of great and challenging trails. Wonderful mountain scenery. we also did some trail blazing as we didn't take a tried and true route. I did it with 1 battery and no support team on a 2020 Cube 160 TM. Charge where possible on the way. My riding partner was on a Cube race 140 and he took 2 batteries. His bum suffered with the extra weight in the backpack. I can totally recommend it. Memories that will last a lifetime. Loved watching your fantastic video. I am already planning my next adverture.
@Marie Decuyper Riding in winter is not a problem. I have seen a few people that use a neoprene cover on their battery to help keep it warm. The colder it is, the less miles you seem to get out of it. Wit charging off road. I took the Bosch 6A Fastcharger with me on my transalp. It wasn't a problem to charge up anywhere I tried (Use common sense). Occasionally a fee of up to €5.00 was asked for charging. but most places allowed you to load for free. I left a bit more tip. As regards to flying with batteries.. I haven't tried it, but have often heard that you can't. Your best bet is to take the bikes without batteries and find a place at your destination where you can rent a battery or two.
Total respect guys, massive effort across terrain that I wouldn't even fancy walking on, stunning scenery as well! Kudos also to the cameraman for keeping up with you :-)
I believe it would be, “hey we kinda did a number on those bikes” OEM “did you make a good video.” SJ: “yeah obviously” OEM; “no worries, here’s some new ones the “
Fantastic video! Brilliant! Thank you. I'm from Wales but live in New Mexico, USA. It was great to be reminded how stunningly beautiful Wales is, made me quite homesick. As for the biking, you guys are the real deal, totally hard core! Thank you again, I thoroughly enjoyed 'being with you' on your trip.
Hats off to both of you, the camera crew and support crew. You put skill, stamina and guts to the test on this one! Glad you all made it in one piece. Look forward to see more multiple day trips.
Now your just showing off Steve WHAT AN INTRO !!!! AMazing the video took me to a whole new world while in Lockdown lol thankyou EMBN was good for my mental health watching that video
I’ve enjoyed watching your videos ! I will be 73 soon and remember back to my first 20” bicycle to motorcycling and now back to bicycles . I had to look back to when the first suspension bike , the Garry Fisher RS1 produced in 91 . Bikes have come a long way and you guys are having to much fun ! Happy trails !
Hats 👒 off boys, absolutely 💯 👏 Steve Jones, nice to see you in North Wales! I own the new 180, for me it's the best do it all bike I've ever ridden. Love the show boys.
Have you found any issues with the 180? I'm kinda considering it or the focus Sam2. I really can't decide and the stock levels are so low you can't even see one 😞
@@ShaneJackson nope, absolutely love the 180RS v2. I owned the 150 RS too, but changed back to a long travel and haven't regretted it. It will do everything all day long and loves to play and jump. Very sharp handling too.
STUNNING video, thoroughly enjoyable to watch and superb camera work! Thank you! Only thing I would have asked for is some place names on the map shots to help with orientation. Other than that, BRILLIANT!
Really enjoyed your adventure. As someone from Australia whose wife was born in Narbeth and who did the Wales IM in 2012, and returned again in 2014 to hike in Snowdonia, I feel some affinity to this beautiful country. We may not tackle your epic ride but long to return again to do some multi-day bikepacking.
Thanks for the tour of Wales. Beautiful. Kudos to your crew. And kudos to you for doing a ride I loved watching, but would never, ever consider doing. :O
Best EMBN video I've seen, and I've watched loads - well done! Supported adventure e-riding...what could be better!?...although I'd likely opt for a pub/B&B to sleep in each night! thanks Mike
Did similar with a pal, on our cyclocross bikes, in the eighties .... in our twenties. Definitely an eMTB adventure now we’re in our mid-fifties ..... and the planning has begun. Loved your video, fed our stoke. BTW I’m glad you enjoyed my “backyard” of the Carneddau.
Great video totally epic I’ve ridden through the slate mines you rode through and I can confirm it’s an awesome place to ride , keep it up guys ,love the channel 👍
I am loving these videos as a bikepacker they're great. I'm sure it's really fun on an e bike with that extra power but considering my budget i'm going to try this route on my push bike
Great ride.... we are a bunch of Ebike Firefighters.... we want to do it! Have you got a GPX of the route.... no point us putting any effort in when you have done all the hard work! Thanks again great film
This video is quality! cheers guys! 👍😎 beginners error forgetting a spare battery when mother nature is full of wonders and surprises for those who wish to take her on 😊💯
Fantastic video, lots of really hard work went into this. Hope you didn’t hurt your self when you fell, looked pretty nasty. Beautiful country great narrative and professional editing makes a superbly entertaining film. Congratulations to all the team 👍👍.

What an advert for the beauty of Wales! In this video, you’ve done for the Welsh Tourist Board what Danny McAskill did for the Scotland.
Wales has some amazing riding! 🤘
Even me living in Munich and having the alps would love to go there right now! You should do more like this and get payed by the tourism board.
Breaththaking scenery. 😍
Can you give us some stats please?
Day 1, xx km, xx m climbing, xxx Wh etc
Great drone and camera work too.

Did you ever track down a GPS file?
First class content guys! And people say e-biking is for lazy people, I think they´re riding the wrong trails.

What an absolutely insane ride. Very impressive stuff, can't imagine the effort needed to push through some of that stuff really, truly amazing stuff.
The person that was in charge of the filming is a genius....breathtaking....footage....
Sam and Steve's most excellent adventure. That Gents was bloody brilliant. 👍
Thanks Mark! We are glad they made it despite some challenges along the way. It was quite a project!
I think more of this kind of riding tours is very appealing to a wider audience.
